• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How do you guys with multiple bikes handle Riding other bikes?

My only problem is occasionally forgetting to ride closer to the center line when I'm on my sidecar rig. Of course my passengers remind me when they hit the shoulder or side of the road! :yikes:

Not a crisis topic - just Old Age and a new curiousity - 50mph 'feels' faster...

Speed perception can vary greatly do to age, health, experience, etc. If you feel comfortable and confident at high speeds at age 80+, that's great!. With 40+ years riding experience, at "only" age 66, I acknowledge that my skills, reaction time, and confidence level aren't what they used be...

Your Weather News @ April Edition 2023

The volatile weather that's plagued the south and midwest has made it to the mid-Atlantic. A tornado passed by within a mile of my house around 6pm Saturday, leaving a trail of destruction, and unfortunately one fatality. Prayers to everyone affected by this horrific weather everywhere.

Anyone else a loner and not a group rider?

I only enjoy riding two ways: alone or with others! :roflblack: Actually it depends upon the reason for the ride, and my mood. Sometimes I need and enjoy the solitude. Other times I embrace the purpose of a group ride, or ride with a close friend. As long as you're still riding, it's all good...

Motorcycle Dave here with a Drivers License question

I received my initial driver's license about 50 years ago, and my motorcycle endorsement a couple of years later. Many years later I moved to Ohio for five years, and then New York for four. Each time everything transferred over with no test required. When I made my last move back to Delaware...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed a cat delete pipe and Akrapovic muffler on my F3S (thanks MotorcycleDave). Have not had a chance to test it out yet; only idle and revs in the garage and driveway. I'll reserve judgement until after I've had a chance to take a decent ride.

    Downshifting vs Braking

I use engine braking/manual downshifting 95% of the time. I believe it was muscle memory that came in handy when my brakes failed while approaching a red light at highway speed. I was able to downshift quickly and slow enough to navigate my way through a busy intersection and coast to a stop on...

The continued emasculation of the NFL

I enjoy watching the NFL and other pro sports because I have no greater expectation than being entertained, most of the time. Prefer college sports, even though the transfer portal and NIL are changing the landscape. Went to the Pro Bowl in Hawai'i 16 years ago. Thoroughly enjoyed all the...
