• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Won't downshift? Try this "fix" - UPDATE - caused Turn Signal failure!

I believe you have it correct. I had the same problem with my start switch. https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?149835-Urgent!-Starter-button-acting-up-Update!&p=1641755&viewfull=1#post1641755...

    Electric Spyder next?

Battery technology has come a long way in 50 years. I bought a battery powered weed trimmer about 50 years ago. Pretty much a useless tool. Then 16 years ago I bought a 28 volt set of Milwaukee power tools. The 1/2" drill will bust your wrist a quickly as a corded drill will. Then this past...

    Electric Spyder next?

Yep, just as the earth needs water to live, but what happens when there is too much water? Everything dies! The key is to find the happy medium, not too much, not too little. We don't know yet what that balance point is for CO2. Everyone is just guessing.

    Electric Spyder next?

That is what is being done now with the low-level transuranic waste in the form of clothes, contaminated machines, etc. that is being stored, hopefully forever, at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant in New Mexico. The hard stuff to deal with is the extremely radioactive metals and such from the...

    Electric Spyder next?

Nuclear holds promise. But it has been holding promise for 70 years! And we still haven't totally solved the problem of dealing with the non-reusable waste that nuclear fission creates. Nuclear waste is like no other industrial waste. You can't just dump it on the ground out in a desert and walk...

    Electric Spyder next?

Sometimes though, technology does hit a brick wall and dies. Two examples are nuclear powered aircraft and super sonic transport. Sometimes market is the brick wall. Consider microwave ovens. They were originally touted as a be all for all sorts of oven use. Now they are mostly used for...

    Random thought for the day

I think there is a lesson here about paying attention while we're riding. What our brain thinks it sees isn't always what is actually there.

I don't know about animations but my experience has been file size didn't seem to matter much. I use the icon to insert them and it appears the forum software will resize large file size images to fit the posting parameters.

Rotten ride yesterday - I hate wintertime!

Every year as I get older I understand more and more why those who live in the northern climes become snowbirds!

Anyone ever painted an RT-622? Good results? What paint/prep etc?

Did you do a search of the forum? There have been several posts the past few years about owners painting their trailers.

Does Anyone Know How to delete Audio presets & set my own?

Someone posted a procedure here several years ago. Maybe a search will find it. As I recall it involved changing the audio region setting, then stepping through all the presets and saving. I think what happened is you ended up with static noise, or silence, on every preset. Then change the...

    2024 Tour Planning

I don't remember which N-S road it is, but one of the highways from AR to MO is a really pretty roller coaster of a road, up and down, up and down, for miles. And you'll be close enough to Branson, MO to make it worthwhile considering spending some time there.

What Oil Frequency and Oil Type do you use?

Workable, but maybe not economical, to use such oil for fuel but I sure wouldn't try it for engine oil!

Don't Be Fooled! Looking at you DOES NOT mean they SEE you!

He very well may not have actually "seen" you. Our brains do the "seeing" based on the data it receives from our eyes. Still images are boring and the brain tends to filter them out.

Don't Be Fooled! Looking at you DOES NOT mean they SEE you!

I came across that article quite a few years ago when I had my Goldwing and have kept the admonitions in mind since. Another vision fact I came across a few years ago. Interestingly, our eyes are more sensitive to motion at the periphery than straight ahead. That's why modulated headlights are...

I protest the idea that any age from 60 to 85 can be considered old! :gaah: 85 to 100, well maybe that is finally old! :dontknow:

    The caliber of my dealership

Your RT is a 2018, right? That means it's coming up to 6 years old. Any vehicle that age can be expected to have a few cosmetic faults. I think you should let it be. But call the dealer and tell them you'll live with it and don't want them to be out the time and money for such a small blemish...
