• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

For those that watch Yellowstone the series...

I also thought it was a good start for a new season. It brought new angles and aspects to the story line and left me wanting the next episode. Exactly what lead in episodes are supposed to accomplish. Did anyone else catch the phrase Beth used when dressing down Jaimie? He will do what she...

Do I really need a GPS?

If your phone works fine for you, great. No one is going to tell you that its wrong or not to use it. There are, however, reasons to use a dedicated GPS unit such as a Garmin Zuma XT to provide features and functions that your phone cannot. Google Maps on your phone cannot navigate a ROUTE...

Is it common to need alignment every few thousand miles?

No its not normal. Alignment is a once and done unless you need front suspension components replaced.

Can a VIN number show maintenance history?

Depends on what was recorded. Most dealers do not connect or log service in BUDS. I have seen 10 year old bikes that never even had the owner information recorded nor the original selling dealer inspection.

Any way to get rid of the Read the card message?

You cannot get rid of it but you also do not have to wait for it. Just press MODE and then start, no need to wait on your 2016.

    Laser Alignments for charity?

Mike is right. You will need to be covered by a garage keepers or mechanics policy. Your home owners insurance will not cover you working on others vehicles. This type of insurance is not cheap or easy to come by. Ask how I know.

How do you heat your home??

Down here in Houston, those that can get it use Natural Gas. Its cheap here. If not available, electric but its much more expensive to run although cheaper than in some parts of the country. At our place in Durango, its straight electric as no gas is available up on the mountain. Also a wood...

Time to make a decision - will I regret upgrading to 2021 RT Ltd?

The new RT is a nice ride to be sure. I could never step down from my F3 to an RT. I hate the upright and uncomfortable (for me) riding position. Also its top heavy handling in the corners. Nice as it may be, I could not move from my vette to an escalade either.

Did anyone else notice? Re: Front sprocket

Nope, Nope and Nope. Your dealer is not being truthful with you. 1, they DO NOT have the keep possession of your bike, they have to tell you its not safe to ride. You can store your own bike. 2. If your sprocket fails inspection, they can request a replacement sprocket (of the current part)...

2015 RTS Rear wheel/tire replacement - does it HAVE to go to a dealer?

There is no need to remove the brake rotor or the hub (if its removable on your wheel) unless you are replacing the bearings. Not needed or recommended to remove them for tire replacement. And yes, I can see in the photos you have the newer style one piece wheel. The hub is cast in and not...

Where are you guys getting these internal Can-Am service bulletins?

There are several CanAm techs here and in the facebook group that have access to BOSSWEB where BRP publishes them to the dealers. They do not post them directly due to implications, but the data gets out.....

Any portable air compressors to run off battery lead?

Not quite true. This one is designed specifically for use on motorcycles and plugs in directly to your battery tender lead. Have several of them on different bikes and several friends that use them. Manufacture also provides good support after sale and the unit works well if a bit slow due to...

    Project RE-Key F3

I can confirm you can do option 2 and get into BUDS to program new keys or disable DESS with a non-chipped or new key not matching the bike. Been there and done it. You just need the key to mechanically work in the lock cylinder and turn on.
