• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Belt Tension - anyone know the distance between sprockets? '22 F3

Several years ago, on my 2018F3 Ltd's L/H side swing arm, I marked the center of the belt's span for using a Krikit to measure belt tension. To the left in the photo you can see the "ter" part of "center".

Ever taken the ferry between South Baymouth, Ontario, and Tobermory?

Over the years, we've sailed the Chi-Cheemaun several times heading both east and west. These trips were not on two or three wheels but four wheels, a VW Westfalia camper. It's a wonderful excursion and I can't think of anything to be aware of except to enjoy it. Conscious travels to you!

Anyone made Jump Start Terminals for an F3T? Where & how do you mount terminals?

Not, home made, but several years ago I installed SlingMods Battery Jump Start Port on my F3L. I use it for my battery maintainer conection after every ride. Of course, if you need a jump, the connection is right there close at hand.

RT seems better suited for seniors

For all the folks who say that getting on an F3 is a bit difficult, I'd suggest they look at The Ultimate F3 Floorboards. I purchased a pair, and for for my 76 year old tall lanky body, it made getting aboard my F3L waaay easier even with my pillion already on board.

Red Dust of Death Recall???? Front Sprocket Recall - FINALLY....

I had the Sprocket Recall done this past Tuesday. An hour and 50 miles later, back at home I inspected the dealer's work. The belt tension was waaay tight and there was no gap between the belt and the driven sprocket's flange. See photos. I called the dealer's service manager and told him of my...

Anyone got Pics of a Spyder on a 6x10 trailer?

The trailer has been around for a long time, so I don't recall the model. A search on Aluma's site will get you to what they now make in a 6x10.

Anyone got Pics of a Spyder on a 6x10 trailer?

Here's my 2018 F3 on a 6'x10' all aluminum trailer. Plenty of room forward to rear and enough clearance side to side. Hope this helps you in your quest.

A small Safety Mod to our 2022 RTL with a big improvement!

I've got Dave's button and pad. Due to my fondness for Anti-Slip material, see post 37, I added anti slip to the Turn Signal button. For me, wearing gloves (ATGATT) it's now even easier to find the button. I really appreciate the excellent feel for the switch's -center- to cancel. The shift pad...

A small Safety Mod to our 2022 RTL with a big improvement!

What I do to create more friction on the Turn Signal and the Cruise Control buttons is to add small pieces of 3M Indoor/Outdoor (aka Safey Walk) Tread.

F3L Parking Brake locking on - any advice?

In 2021, on my 2018 F3L, I had experienced the intermittent parking brake hang up problem several times. Fault codes popped up. Fortunately, I was able to release the brake by pressing the brake button several times, and or, turning the trike's ignition on and off and cursing. Searching for the...

Is 2022 F3-L rear tire removal the same as RT-L?

The removal of the brake caliper, axle and tire is essentially the same procedure as the RT-L. On my 2018 F3-L, the mud flap removal is quite different than the RT. I remove the side boxes and the muffler to gain easier access to everything involved in changing out the rear tire.

Shifting Issues - F3 won't always shift out of 1st - anyone else?

This fall, the left hand control module (aka as the left hand -switch-) on my 2018 F3L (17K miles) had similar issues as yours. A call to my dealer about the problem resulted in BRP covering the replacement module under a "Good Will" warranty that covered parts and labor. This is a well...

Left Hand Module Replacement on F3 - anyone DIY?

Thanks for the photos and their explanations! People helping each other to solve problems. Yes, that is a Delphi connector (I've have to get the tool, or two, to release the pins). When the problem was first recognized here a few years ago, I took the back cover off of the module as I was...

Left Hand Module Replacement on F3 - anyone DIY?

My situation is a bit difficult, and it happened literally almost overnight: * I have no reverse. * it's difficult to get into first gear. * I can only return to neutral after I turn off the ignition and turn it back on. * It's later October in NW Minnesota. * Dealer is 50 miles away. *...
