• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm going a different route on my next set of front tires - trying these IOTA EVT (Standard's) instead!

I just bought a 26 S2S and it came with the newly branded XPS branded Kenda tires. As I put miles on them, they are definitely an improvement over the previous Kendas in terms of feel, sidewall stiffness and wet weather performance. BRP say they are much improved lifespan too. Looking at the...

2025 Improved Sea to Sky Tires, how are they?

If the front tires are directionless, I assume the factory just receives tires orientated in one direction and it mounts all the tires the same way on every wheel. I guess this saves time and effort. Either that and some Spyders are out there with opposite orientation than mine and some are out...

2025 Spyder Sea 2 Sky - Where is the Dedicated GPS Power Plug-in?

Well the Bluetooth data rates have to be fast enough to support Apple AAC lossless audio and helmet to bike and bike to helmet communications over the Bluetooth connection. The USB 2.0 wired interface has to be sufficient to carry the Apple protocol it uses to update the display from phone and...

I just bought the Can Am Spyder S2S Luggage - sidebags excellent, trunk or top box bag not so much!

I just bought the internal luggage bags for my 2026 S2S from Can Am. The side bags were excellent, fitted the inside of the panniers well. They were semi rigid in design and came with very good shoulder straps with nice metal connectors. These were high quality items and seem well made. The...

2025 Spyder Sea 2 Sky - Where is the Dedicated GPS Power Plug-in?

No I don't think so. It seems to be USB 2.0 and is used for power and data transfer for the apps on the phone interfacing to the display. From the devices I have connected it seems to provide 5.0 volts about 1.5 amps of power, tops. USB 2.0 at 1.5 amps is sometimes call USB 2.1. The power is...

Another tire thread…but different¿ New Kenda XPS Roadster Tires - more durable...

Well I was fortunate that all the Kenda tires I went through balanced well enough and weren't out of round in any significant way. Of course I am just one person and this is not everybody's experience. You had a much larger sample set than me. Yes, the old rear did wear out the center first and...

Another tire thread…but different¿ New Kenda XPS Roadster Tires - more durable...

I have indeed, but not for an extended months long period. I think they were an improvement over some of the issues of the original Kendas, but I’m not of the view that the original Kends were not fit for purpose. I found the Kendas had ultimately lower grip in the dry, but gave a more...

Another tire thread…but different¿ New Kenda XPS Roadster Tires - more durable...

Well my new 2026 Spyder S2S came with the "XPS" branded tires on it. They are very obviously still Kenda tires branded as XPS for BRP. Having ridden it long enough now to have bedded them in so I thought I'd give you my opinions (which are worth what you are paying for them): 1. I have no wear...

Does a first service/oil change at 500 miles sound "normal" for a 2024 RTL

For sure. But the reality is this is just a relatively normal automotive type engine design from a reputable manufacturer, Rotax. It's not like it is a typical motorcycle style engine design with a very peaky power curve and a high rev ceiling required to make most power. It also has a...

Does a first service/oil change at 500 miles sound "normal" for a 2024 RTL

Yes, I used to change the oil every 2,500 miles on both my BMW R100 and a Laverda triple years and years ago. My experience of my friend's Norton Commando was it seemed to drop many more things than just oil every 1,500 miles (Lol). I think the oil I used back then was ELF as it was the one...

Does a first service/oil change at 500 miles sound "normal" for a 2024 RTL

My dealer recommended 3000 miles (5000 km) for first oil change on both my 2021 RT LTD and this new 2026 S2S. I think 600 miles is a bit of a money grab, honestly. I'm not quite sure I want to go 9300 miles between subsequent changes. I'll probably continue going every 5000 miles as that...

I updated OTA software/firmware on my 2024 S2S - anyone else seen the back-up camera option?

Having just got a 2026 S2S with a backup camera, yes it's kind of cool but I wouldn't go and spend a whole bunch of money on fitting 2025 rear bodywork and a camera kit. If it wasn't installed on my 2026 S2S I certainly wouldn't bother buying it and installing it. Frankly, just using the...

I just did a Software Update on my new 2026 S2S!

I just went out and checked my software level and it says it is V4.1.0. I didn't look at any version numbers as it was updating as each individual thing it said it was updating had a different version number in small digits at the bottom left of the screen. I assume therefore it was built with...

What changes between a New 2026 RT vs a 2021 RT might make worthwhile considering?

Thanks for that info, I need to read the instruction book I guess.

I just did a Software Update on my new 2026 S2S!

It was brand new and it was assembled out of the crate a week ago. I picked it up the day it was finally assembled. So I presume the software was released between the time the unit was being built and the day I received delivery. I’m a bit OCD in checking everything with software that has an...

I just did a Software Update on my new 2026 S2S!

I just got my 2026 Spyder Sea to Sky. After a few days riding I parked it up in the garage and connected it to my home Wi-Fi. Despite being new it told me there was a software update available when I checked. So, with the ignition on and the engine off I did as follows. So I updated the...

What changes between a New 2026 RT vs a 2021 RT might make worthwhile considering?

I have just traded my '21 RT Ltd for a '26 Sea to Sky. The gas struts for the front seat and trunk seem to be 100% better on the new one. On my '21 model, they just collapsed and ceased doing anything much in about a week. In fact, they were pretty useless day 1. These new ones have a pretty...

Re-installed the primary muffler (cat) - the noise @ I/state speeds was not for me!

I've kept both of the RT's I've had stock. They sound nice enough I think. There's enough intake noise and the exhaust note sounds OK when you rev it out. I think my neighbors and their young kids appreciate the thing as it is. It's certainly nice and quiet on the freeway and I can hear my wife...

Anyone identify this exhaust system? (And how do I quiet it down?)

It looks like the system you have has removed the catalytic converter and is now effectively a straight pipe. I am not surprised it is very loud. I've kept mine stock and I think my neighbors with their young kids are probably appreciative. I've quit doing loud as I've got older. If it were...

What changes between a New 2026 RT vs a 2021 RT might make worthwhile considering?

I just traded my 2021 RT LTD for a 2026 Sea to Sky. The seat is much better, well my wife says. The display is better. It jumps day to night setting reliably now. Even without using the Apple Car Play, the standard settings and options are far more detailed. It's easier to read. The stock...
