• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

That's a good question. I suspect the bulletin does not obligate BRP to a free fix outside the warranty period. It's a technical bulletin, not a recall notice. It does mean that the newer parts should be available from BRP though. The dealer should be able to assist at least in ordering the...

2025 Improved Sea to Sky Tires, how are they?

I measured the tread depth on the new XPS branded Kenda tires on my 26 S2S. The depth measures 8/32" in each of the three radial grooves. That's 6.4mm for those of us raised in the metric system. It looks a fair bit more than the Kenda originals I had on my 21 RT LTD.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Hi Ma'am, These tires are still made by Kenda, just rebranded XPS for Can Am to match the XPS oil brand name, and they come in the standard fitment sizes of 165/55R15 front and 225/50R15 rear which should fit your year of Spyder. All new Spyders seem to come with them fitted from 2026 from what...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

You might want to look at the new XPS branded Kendas. My new S2S came with them on and they are a pretty decent upgrade from previous OEM fitments. They run quieter, grip a bit better though still have the same nice gradual breakaway, have stiffer sidewalls and the wet grip is an order of...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I think there was a technical bulletin or even some recall parts to swap the cables with stainless steel ones as the previous ones would get rusty from moisture and jam up.

Battery Query - Does the Can-Bus system cause a battery drain?

I used the following "battery maintainer/trickle charger/charger" from Amazon. It kept the battery charged on my 2021 RT LTD until I traded it for a new S2S the other day (So that's 2021- 2026, or 5 years). It sat in my garage (unheated which therefore gets really cold in winter and subsequently...

2025 Improved Sea to Sky Tires, how are they?

Mine has two small weights on one and one small weight on the other. The rear has no weights. I think that is in the probable normal range for car tires too. My SUV with high specification tires has more weights than this, even accounting for larger size and mass. My experience of course...

2025 Improved Sea to Sky Tires, how are they?

I’m afraid I don’t quite agree. Having ridden back to back on the original Kenda and now the new XPSs branded Kenda tires, I would say there are considerable differences. First off, the similarities are they both have a smooth and predictable breakaway. As for differences, they run quieter...

I just bought the Can Am Spyder S2S Luggage - sidebags excellent, trunk or top box bag not so much!

I was born and raised in England and commuted by motorcycle to work in London, everyday. Waterproofs were something you always took and some weeks you wore everyday. You had to arrive at work dry so it was a habit you got into carrying them every day, from day one. Then I came to the US to live...

Ikon Front Shocks - Who Uses 'Em & What Do You Think?

Yes, I didn’t know about the Oz operation until Koni made their decision to get out of the motorcycle suspension business. I’m glad it was a family and team affair, they all have a lot to be proud of.

Ikon Front Shocks - Who Uses 'Em & What Do You Think?

A little history here. Koni shock absorbers use to be made in the Netherlands. Koni Dial-a-Ride shocks were the way to go as an upgrade for many brands of both Japanese and European motorcycles up until the 2000s. They were a highly respected manufacturer for both performance cars and...

2018 RTL Brakes feel 'spongy' - Is this normal?

From my experience the brakes should have a nice progressive but firm feel. Not extremely touchy like a 1990's Volvo, but certainly not soft or spongy. You should be able to easily bang on the brakes and get all three wheels to stop the thing on a dime under full control with the anti-lock and...

I just bought the Can Am Spyder S2S Luggage - sidebags excellent, trunk or top box bag not so much!

Yes, I currently use the frunk for rain gear, differing gloves, drinks, air pump, bike cover, layering sweat shirts. By the time it gets to long trip riding weather here we use Bilt summer weight armored jackets and if the wind gets cold at altitude, we put the rain jackets on to make them...

2025 Spyder Sea 2 Sky - Where is the Dedicated GPS Power Plug-in?

Yes, newer versions of Bluetooth will establish connections with systems that support earlier versions of Bluetooth but will obviously only support the earlier specification bandwidth performance. I have some old tiny desktop PC's with ancient Bluetooth adapters and I can connect even Bluetooth...

Well, that's News to Me - Dealer won't service Spyders over 10 years old!

I asked the same question of my Range Rover dealer the other day as mine is approaching 10 years old. The service advisor said they would be more than happy to keep taking money off me for service or repairs until it eventually bleeds me dry. So far I have been lucky with reliability, but he had...

I just bought the Can Am Spyder S2S Luggage - sidebags excellent, trunk or top box bag not so much!

🤣🤣🤣 Indeed. Which is why I wouldn't think to ask her. I wouldn't dare. I like living indoors too much.

I just bought the Can Am Spyder S2S Luggage - sidebags excellent, trunk or top box bag not so much!

Yes, mine were the semi rigid side cases and although not cheap, their metal clasps and the overall quality of their construction, makes the pricing a little more understandable. After looking at the frunk roller bag case I think I’m going to go that route. I’ll put all the waterproof gear...

2025 Improved Sea to Sky Tires, how are they?

I know, I’m sorry, I just forgot the /s. Otherwise I would have remounted one by now. I’ve stared at the stupid things for so long by now doing mental gymnastics over it. I know BRP was just saving money by not having two part numbers for front tires. But why did, for the love of all that is...

    The 'Full Synthetic' Myth Exposed

To be fair both my Can Am dealer and my Jaguar Land Rover dealer advised me both upon all my purchases, or at every servicing interval, to ignore the manufacturers oil change intervals and stick to 5,000 oil changes. Obviously this means more business for the dealer but in reality I think both...
