• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone know (or can measure) their Canyon's rear tire tread depth?

I only got about 8,500 miles on the stock Kenda tire of my Ryker Rally before I switched to car tires. Surprisingly, the first replacement car tire on the Ryker was a Forceum Henna which also wore in the middle by 8,500 miles (even with only 18 psi). The second replacement rear was an Americus...

Does anyone know (or can measure) their Canyon's rear tire tread depth?

Thank you both. This gives me a place to start. I can now monitor wear from here and see how things go as I get more miles prior to my trip. In my case if the tire was 10/32 (0.315) new and has worn to 8/32 (0.250) in 4000 miles a conservative estimate would be another 6,000 miles of wear...

Does anyone know (or can measure) their Canyon's rear tire tread depth?

Does anyone know (or can you measure) what the tread depth is for a new Canyon rear tire? I looked all over the internet and this forum and I have found nothing. My Canyon currently has 4000 miles on it and the tread depth is 8/32 but I don't know what the starting depth was. I want to estimate...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Good point, I have some new cores. I'll give it a week and check again.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I checked the Schrader valve insert on the airbag of my Canyon (base model) and found it to be a little loose. I tightened it and refilled the bag to 8 lb of pressure. It had been bleeding down and hopefully the adjustment will now last as long as the tire pressure. If not, the next step is...

1900 miles, Four States, One Province, and one rude remark

Small minded people sometimes find their minds control of their tongue overwhelmed by the tongue itself.

Are you happy with your aftermarket CAR tires?

I have experienced a low traction rear tire event on my Canyon (on pavement) with the stock Kendas. However, this was while riding in a 3-4 inch per hour rain last Friday. Water was ponding quite badly on the road and despite reducing my speed to about 45 mph from the posted limit of 70 my...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Yeah, East Texas. There is no need for a boot dryer west of I35.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Nothing for my Canyon today. However I am continuing to change the newspaper in my boots and helmet trying to dry them from my ride on Friday.

After five years of ownership it is likely paid off and not making payments saves way more than the cost per mile for fuel whatever grade you use.

Canyon Drive Belt Lower Idler Support Recall

The replacement idler mount came in and my dealer completed the recall on my Canyon today. I got a chance to look at the replacement mount. It is substantially heavier duty than the original. The original part appeared to be pressed aluminum; the replacement was much more substantial and...

When will the '26 Canyons be shipped?

BRP is shipping the recall parts to dealers. I expect the dealers will immediately install them on their unsold stock so the 2025's can be moved. Availability should be much sooner than 2026's.

Canyon Drive Belt Lower Idler Support Recall

I spoke to the service rep at my dealership this morning. They have received two of the three parts they need to conduct the recall service. They will call when the final part comes in and I will carefully ride over for the install. I have to admit they have been very responsive.

Canyon Drive Belt Lower Idler Support Recall

It sounds like BRP is getting parts to the dealers pretty quickly. I hope I have mine repaired this week

Is the Canyon traction control/Nanny set up differently vs the RT's?

Graderman, when I sit on my Canyon and close my eyes it feels exactly like my 2005 BMW GS. I even rescued the tail trunk from what was left of my GS (see my avatar) and it is what I am using on the Canyon. Oh, and in regards to your fingers; wind deflectors are available to work with the hand...

Is the Canyon traction control/Nanny set up differently vs the RT's?

Which ride mode did you have set on the Canyon? It has four fixed modes from street to off-road plus the option for a custom setting. Were the passenger foot pegs down? The right passenger peg (when down) sets the nanny in passenger mode and really cuts down on holagonism.
