• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    The things you learn...

I also started doing that recently, but my muscle memory from many years on two-wheeler is kinda hard to let go. Getting better at it though as time passes. It is amazing how smooth the shifting goes once you master it though.

I HATE Vapor recovery (ECO) gasoline pump nozzles! Is this just "my issue" only? Anyone else? What do you do to avoid this?

I just ordered the McCuff from Amazon. Both sizes to see which is better for my needs. Hoping it's a good fix. Thanks everyone for chiming in. I'll report back which one (Sport or Twin) worked best for me.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Mine doesn't work that way, either. I have to tap on the brake to cancel the cruise control setting. Not a biggie for me.

Thanks for the reply. I agree. BTW: I love your "Legalize Freedom" tagline. Is this a "thing" (an on-line community with similarly-minded people)? Just curious...

Yes, but always trying to make things easier (but at times also more complicated). HAHA. Thanks for the advice.

I HATE Vapor recovery (ECO) gasoline pump nozzles! Is this just "my issue" only? Anyone else? What do you do to avoid this?

Just googled and found it. Thanks. Still looking for additional alternatives, although this seems like it may do the trick.

I HATE Vapor recovery (ECO) gasoline pump nozzles! Is this just "my issue" only? Anyone else? What do you do to avoid this?

I like to buy gas at my local Costco. They recently switched from the traditional nozzle to the newer, and more eco-friendly, nozzles. It’s been challenging most of the time to get these to work on my Spyder. Sometimes they pump less than just a few ounces before cutting off. I find myself in a...

Is this KickzSoleShine guy a scammer? Anyone dealt with him?

Right on, Raccoon. Agree 100% with what you said. Only minor change I would make is even though almost all FB sellers (especially of Can-Am parts) are indeed fake/scammers looking to make quick unethical buck, do a bit of digging into their profile - look at their friends; where are they from...

Long Weekend Incident Report – Can-Am Spyder RT Limited

Hang in there. Sorry for your misfortunes. I sense your pain. I bought a 14 RT with ~60K miles last fall. I've dumped a bunch of money into it but I am now at a point where everything has been addressed and I (KNOCK ON WOOD) have not had any issues to speak of. I also thought about the...

RT 1330 - are your mpg's comparable to mine??

Totally agree on the comment about 60+mph. I tend to get ~30-35mpg from my 14 RT.

Has anyone modified the brake pedal to make it easier to use?

I see. Looks like my RT is too old. Needs to be 2020+. Thanks though.

Has anyone modified the brake pedal to make it easier to use?

Do you happen to have a link for that? I know what you mean by the collision avoidance feature on that truck. I have that on my Subaru (and for backup/reverse) and think it's a great feature.

Is there a paper Ryker Shop manual?

Another difference between paper and digital (PDF) is a big one for me. The ability to search/find for keywords.

Has anyone modified the brake pedal to make it easier to use?

Can anyone provide any cost estimate for converting a 2014 Can-Am Spyder RT SE6 to add a hand brake? I'm probably going to need one sooner or later due to neuropathy and foot drop I've been experiencing lately.

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

But if you find a dealer that does, it's not an issue. I have 2014 RT and my local dealer takes good care of me and my bike. Looked into this before I pulled the trigger on buying a 10 year old Spyder. So far, so good for me. YMMV.

What do you carry for Travel Snacks?

I am T2 diabetic and carry at least 2 of the KIND ZEROg Added Sugar Bars along with a 32 oz insulated water bottle in the trunk filled with ice and water. Also carry a sandwich bag with walnuts and a small amount of raisins or dried apricots for when the sugar gets low during a ride. This has...

What are your thoughts on Magic Mirrors or Magnetic Mirror mounts for a 2016 RT Limited?

I have the LaMonster's Magic Mirrors. For me, a no-brainer upgrade. Makes the removal of the mirrors, for which is necessary for just about anything you do to the 14 RT a requirement. Now it only takes me a second to pop them off and on and I know they are held in place a lot safer than the...
