• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1330cc What kind of average Fuel milage do you get?

Like to ride mine in the 2000rpm to 3500rpm range, but I get the feeling mileage is better if ridden more in the 3500rpm to 4500rpm range.

    Spyder f3-s panniers/bags

For the F3-S I think the SHAD's are the way to go. Best affordable sidecases (SH36 standard model, you can get them anywhere), nicely made, waterproof, easily removable, will hold a full face/modular helmet each, and the frames (specific and only available from BRP's) do look OK when the cases...

    Security

The Spyder is not something easy to lift and the DESS (Digitally Encoded Security System) is known to be quite effective. I would think it's also something less desirable than a motorcycle (harder to sell). That said I use a strong disc lock on mine (on the rear wheel) when I'm leaving it...

After owning one, are you guys still hype with it, compared to before you owned it?

Oh yes... It's unique and a bit exclusive and exotic... Not only for the looks, but also the feel and ride.

    RELIABILITY

After 30 years of riding two wheels I've traded my last bike (Triumph Tiger) for the F3S last September and it's been only fun and joy. I consider myself an experienced rider. I've ridden Picos de Europa, the Alps, Pyrenees, Stelvio, Glossglockner and the Sahara desert in Morocco. But at 45...

    RELIABILITY

I Live in Lisbon, have an F3S. Not many Spyders in Portugal but still some, and I know for a fact there are actually Spyders in the Algarve. I think you can purchase a Spyder from AngelPilot in Lagoa, Algarve, but they are more sea bike oriented there. So I would recommend you to go to Benimoto...

Long Solo Trips - What Did You Learn About Yourself?

I do ride alone sometimes but mostly small trips. One of the reasons to get a Spyder was to ride two up comfortably and I do enjoy the company of my better half. It's always nice to be able to share the experience with another one. But I do understand the appeal of riding alone. You'll add...

    Cardo Freedom1 review

Although the Freedom name would have been nice, I'm sure it's Cardo Freecom. Been using Cardo's intercom for ages now, really good stuff. I have a Freecom 2 set for me and the Missus. Also paired with the GPS and mobile phone. They work great.

    Moving down a dirt/gravel road

From memory I think I've read somewhere that the F3S swing arm design makes the belt less prone to rock damage than the RT/F3T.

    Brake light wiring issue

For switchable power look under the passenger seat. You'll find two cables, one for each rear brake light. With the right superseal connectors you can actually build your own cable for splicing and plug it there without cutting or splicing any of the original cables. For power with engine...

    Curious Question About Touring (F3-S)

I'm located in Europe, we have an good local manufacturer (UK and France based) which makes great shocks for the Spyder at a reasonable price. http://www.shock-factory.co.uk/ Their rear adjustable shock will cost around 395€ (about $450) There's also a front set for 700€ ($800)

    Curious Question About Touring (F3-S)

Just got back from a 2000mi trip, F3-S, two up with the Shad side cases and it was great. Both have the same riding position (F3S and F3T and L). With the T and L you get an air bag to adjust the dreadful rear suspension. For two up my advice would be replace the rear shock anyway. Really weak...

    F3 Bajaron Swaybar Install

Pretty nifty jack you've got there, how high you've got the Spyder in the air?

    Squeaks and rattles

They do squeak a bit... I know mine does. Got some squeaks on the front suspension and on the brakes, specially when in hot weather. The engine has a different sound when cold (specially on the left side). But I guess like any dry sump engine.

1330 and Gas Mileage Review - What's yours? Anyone else tracking theirs?

For anything than the sixth gear (which act as overdrive) I like to drive my F3S between 2000 to 3500rpm and shift above that. But lately I get the feeling mpg gets better keeping it above 3000-4000rpm... Could this be right? Or is it just my imagination? Average mpg is at 34.85mpg.

Ride on, should I?... Which formula and dosage?

Thank you guys, everyone has been very helpful. I think I'll go for the motorcycle formula.

Ride on, should I?... Which formula and dosage?

How many are using the ride on tyre sealant on their Spyder? Which formula (car or mortocycle) and dosage? Thanks.
