• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Key or no key that is the question...

So no real reason to leave the key there at least electronically as the DESS won't read the key until ignition is on. Bigger issue would then be messing with the little metal flap thing which shouldn't be a real issue when in the garage, still I might stop leaving it there just because of that...

Key or no key that is the question...

Ride all year here but we're in lockdown so the Spyder is getting more time in the garage than usual. I leave it with the parking brake off (wheels choked) and plenty of fuel (not overfilling it). Also I leave the key in the ignition... Think I've read somewhere it was recommended but not sure...

What do I need for an oil change?

Sorry, you are right. It's the 1330 ACE engine with semi-automatic SE6 transmission. (F3-S MY2018)

What do I need for an oil change?

For the experienced ones, which part numbers and tools? Located in Europe so not kits available here, only the good old BRP dealer. Thanks!

Front pads replacement - what tools are needed?

All good. Just got home from a 1500 miles trip with no issues. Real good brake power and no "squealing" anymore. I do noticed a "swwwishhhhh" sound when braking which I'm not sure I had with the stock pads. Thank's to all. Now thinking on doing the annual maintenance myself. Got to check if...

Front pads replacement - what tools are needed?

Oh yes, forgot to mention. I did that to push the pistons back against the pads and the rotors. Pressed the pedal several times until it wasn't soft anymore.

Front pads replacement - what tools are needed?

So, it's done :ohyea: Most of the time was spent figuring how to lift the the front wheels about 2 inches so I coul get the jack under the suspension arm. That's because the jack has a pad with about 3 inches of rubber. So I had to get creative and I finally managed to place the spyder over a...

Front pads replacement - what tools are needed?

Also would it be OK to lift the the wheel by the lower suspension arm? Instead of lifting the whole front by the frame?

Front pads replacement - what tools are needed?

Thanks Mikey. From the videos I've seen on youtube: I'll need 21mn lug wrench for the wheels and a T30 Torx to remove the locking pin. Seems it can be done without removing the calipers so an Allen wrench might not be needed. What are the recommended tightening torques for the clip and the...

Front pads replacement - what tools are needed?

Going on a trip next week so I might replace the front pads as on one of the sides it should be around 1.5 and 2mm (rear was done recently at the dealer). EBC's FA630HH pads are on the way. What tools should I need beside the jack?

    F3-S belt adjustment

Just got the krikit on the mail today. Pressure is exactly at 180lb-ft so I guess all is good now. Thanks everyone.

    F3-S belt adjustment

Yes, I guest that's it. Mine twisted every time until well tightened. I've ridden a couple of miles today and I'm happy. Absolutely sure that it is like it was before. Belt very very close to the flange (not sure if there's even 1mm there) but I got it like that from the factory. Have to wait...

    F3-S belt adjustment

Thanks, I've seen your method but didn't had straps with ratchets... In the end the bang, tight and repeat method worked all the way. I did remember and placed the wrench above and pushed it forward but strangely the axle always moved backward, maybe it was doing some kind of lever effect somehow.

    F3-S belt adjustment

Well still no krikit, posting has been real slow because of the situation. So I still atempted doing some adjustment as I noticed the right adjuster was loose. So my thinking was if I just put it like it was maybe the whole thing goes like it was. I've undone the axle bang it a bit forward...

    F3-S belt adjustment

Thanks, I'm planning spinning the wheel by hand. Having it running while up in the air does scares me. Have the correct size spanner still waiting for the krikit...
