• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

^^^ Believe you mean “ Stock, the dash is always reading 3-4 mph over that which the GPS shows”.

F3-S Daytona at the drag strip tonight - original March '23; update June '25

Ran the Daytona this afternoon/evening at a “motorcycle only” event at the local drag strip. Was supposed to have separate classes for stock American V-Twin, stock Metric, and a Pro class for those w/ power adders, extended swing arms, slicks, etc. Well, due to a low total bike turnout (~24 or...

Your Weather News @ November 2023 Edition

Here in deep south Texas, highs about 70*F with a solid high overcast. Got in a 90-mile ride this morning on the F3-S, and put ~20 miles on my ‘97 Kawasaki KLX300 this afternoon while checking the fields, feeding the critters, etc.

    Spyder Sightings

Saw a VERY NICE Magma Red ‘16 RS-S while ryding my F3-S this morning near La Villa, TX. Talked with the new owner at a fuel station. He’d just bought it locally with just over 6,000 total miles on it. Told him about SpyderLovers.com, and the wealth of info here.

Recommend any door-to-door cross country Spyder Shippers?

+1 on HaulBikes. Michigan to south Texas. Not very fast, but they’re set up for bikes/trikes, and have excellent equipment.

Do you own another motorcycle besides your Spyder?

Sold my Honda CTX1300 shortly after getting the F3-S Daytona (wife already had her F3-S). Missed the 2 wheels, so bought a ‘97 Kawasaki KLX300 that I use to ride around all the farm fields when I get “that urge”.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Nice weather today, low 90’s °F, got a 56-mile ride in. Had a two-fold mission: 1) practice launching from a standstill (SM6) for this coming weekend’s all-motorcycle drag racing at our local track; 2) run the last gallon or so of regular gas out and fill with super unleaded for said drag...

Your Weather News @ November 2023 Edition

Here in deep south Texas, finally have an easterly wind blowing *warm* air in off the Gulf of Mexico, instead of off the “frozen tundra” to the north. Highs mid- to high-70’s*F, lows tonight about 60*F. Highs creeping steadily up to a forecast 92*F for Tuesday.

Your Weather News @ October 2023 Edition

Sunny south Texas was anything but that today. A front moved through early this morning, dropping our temps into the high 40’s °F by noon, with a NW wind at over 20mph and a light rain all morning. Rode the wife’s F3S home from the dealer after completing the front pulley recall. Cold for us...

    Bad Pun

Ask a local farmer / rancher if he needs any cats to help with mice in the barns. If so, trap them and donate them. Problem solved - on both ends.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Parked in the sun - RT screen blacked out... Finally, a use for that Warning Tab!

I throw my gauntlet gloves up over the gauge faces on my F3-S. Mine’s not electronic, but maybe it will help keep the orange of the dial faces from fading, as has happened on my wife’s F3-S.
