• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spyder Sightings

Saw a Manta Green F3-S followed by a Harley trike, Eastbound, just West of Rio Hondo on FM508 about 11:45am. Then, I saw a Circuit Yellow RT Southbound on Dixieland Road in Harlingen about 12:30pm. I was on my '17 F3-S. Outside temps were about 91°F.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Sorry to hear this. Best wishes on the mending.

    Random thought for the day

Mostly - it’s got a “governor” on the throttle pedal!!

Birthday present - “some assembly required” Reverse Trike model!

Didn’t realize I had failed to show the completed (several months ago!) project.

Has anyone purchased a 2024 F3S? Do they still come with the rear cowl?

Sorry, @broderp, just saw this reply of yours. You bring up something I did not know - about the rear peg fillers. I bought my ‘17 Daytona “new”, never titled, w/ less than 80 miles showing, in May of 2022. It had the factory pillion seat on it at the time. I asked the salesman about the cowl...

Never Say a Spyder Can't Flip

I believe something caused the trailer to step out on them, which pulled the rear end of the Spyder around. Could have been dodging something in the road, could have been a misalignment of the asphalt highway to concrete bridge joint that bounced the trailer at an angle …. Who knows. Prayers...

Recall - 2017-2019 RT and F3 Engine Output Shaft Can Break!

Looks like mine is safe. My swingarm sticker shows a production date of 06/2016, which predates the October 29, 2016, date that the ‘17 models started with the new process. Glad I won’t have to be relying on BRP’s ‘quality’ techs to get my machine torn apart and put back together *correctly*...

1330 - is there a Torque & HP dyno chart available anywhere?

‘17 F3-S w/ SM6 manual transmission. Car tires were my only mod at the time. Here’s some numbers: Standing 1/4 mile - 13.4 seconds at 101 mph. Best time was 13.398 seconds, best speed was 101.99 mph. Standing 1/8 mile - 8.7 seconds at 83 mph. Best time was 8.590 seconds, best speed was 84.27...

Anyone with an F3 tried BRP's Chopped Rear Fender?

Here’s a few pics. Installed the chopped fender two days after I got the bike home, and put the LaMonster IPS PackRack on last year. I take the rack(s) off when not specifically needed - takes 2 minutes by pulling 4 bolts.

Contemplating buying a Spyder - any reliability, power, and buyer's remorse issues?

Grampi - remember that the F3 will have 5 different positions for the footboards. You can tailor the footboard position fore/aft to your liking, but you will have to buy the correct length brake rod to match a change. Also, you didn’t notice much difference in acceleration because both models...

Curious for comments on Twisted Sisters ride in Texas?

I rode 335 and 337 on my way back from Green Country Spyder Jamboree. Try to get up there on the bikes/trykes at least once a year. Very nice scenery, great food in the area. I enjoy it …

Contemplating buying a Spyder - any reliability, power, and buyer's remorse issues?

Two-wheels vs three-wheels is just a different ride. Not better or worse - just different. I’m 60 y.o. and have had my F3-S just over two years. Love it. Just got back from riding ~2,700 miles in 7 days, including 700+ miles of “spirited” riding in eastern OK / western AR, the Talimena Byway...

Green Country Spyder Jamboree - September 26-27-28, 2024

Wanted to say a “Thank You” to all the organizers and workers at the Jamboree. Dan and the crew from Broken Arrow did a marvelous job. Getting the city of Tahlequah involved was good, too - and netted us some biscuits and gravy! I rode all 4 routes, and all had something to see/do/experience. As...

Are warped discs a common problem with Spyder Front Brakes?

‘17 F3-S, w/ just under 12K miles. Noticed a shudder on stopping a couple weeks ago. Pulled front wheels to check pads. Found inner pad on RH side was worn at an angle, more wear on bottom, less on top. But seemed as though all pistons were free and moving. LH side was fine. Will probably go...

Your Weather News @ September Edition 2024

Currently in Deep South Texas it’s 87*F w/ 76% humidity, headed for a high of 93*F. Hit & miss showers this afternoon. Checking closely as I’m striking out before dawn tomorrow on the F3-S, headed for the Green Country Jamboree in Tahlequah, Okla. Looks like we’ll have good traveling weather Wed...

Dealer set 2022 RTL tire pressures waay high - what do you use?

Not 100% certain, but believe this is a GM 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD 4WD 6.6L V8 diesel CrewCab. That’s what I glean (through Google searches :dontknow:) from the 1GCHK23113 on the door sticker. Basically your standard 3/4-ton truck, but with the base LT245 (single) tires. If it were my...

Had to wear Gloves for Can Am riding course - Do you wear gloves? Why? Or why not?

Wear deerskin gauntlet gloves in the dry, weatherproof gloves in the wet. Been hit in the hands by rocks too many times to not wear gloves.
