• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Anyone Using "Hotwired" brand Gloves?

Much appreciate the feedback. They are very nice gloves and I'm disappointed that I can't use them with my Gerbing jacket. Not wishing to have more wires, in addition to my present controller on the handlebars, I'll return the gloves or sell them on line.

    Anyone Using "Hotwired" brand Gloves?

Both 12V. I'm thinking because the Hotwired gloves a made with built in low/med/high switch on each glove, made to be wired directly to a battery, that the Gerbing controller cycling on/off disrupts the current flow to the switch, turning it off....or somesuch. Donno.......

    Anyone Using "Hotwired" brand Gloves?

Bought a set, the type with a button on top that can be set on low, med, and high. Assumed they would work connected to my Gerbing jacket wires, powered via the Gerbing controller. Found out today that they do not....or at least I couldn't make them work. They would flash, on high, with...

What Helmet Liners do you wear?

Who Out There Has Gotten The Replacement Sprocket?

Cobwebs, with over 60 years of riding, I think I'm qualified to determine what is safe for me; that's not your call. The point of having a good used one, is to not be stuck in the boonies, or elsewhere, until I can get a new one. Also, don't see the correlation of a "worn out Kenda" to my old...

Who Out There Has Gotten The Replacement Sprocket?

Pete: good point. I know the mechanic well enough to ask him to save me a good used one (assuming they are tossing them out) for backup purposes.

Can I change just One LED Headlight if the other still works?

Lamont has a video on what panels must come off. Here is another video that I found particularly helpful. Having recently done both of mine, believe me there is no shortcut. Watch the videos and take the panels off in the order described. It's not as bad as it sound/looks as most of the...

Who Out There Has Gotten The Replacement Sprocket?

You might be right, but if you're told "you're good to go" immediately after installation, I believe I'm covered if there is a problem in the future.

New LED Bulbs Are IN and Tested.

Looks good. I recently changed both H4's in my F3T and it was a bear taking off half a doz panels to get to headlight unit. Had I realized before starting, I would have got the LED's. Question: why do a lot of them have internal fans? Never understood this.

Who Out There Has Gotten The Replacement Sprocket?

After reading Loctite charts about how much time it takes the 609 to set up, it looks to me, like 6 hours is about the minimum recommended. Maybe i'm reading it wrong, but at any rate its clear the Loctite should be allowed to harden thoroughly. I had about 20 minutes on mine! If I...

Sprocket Recall - What's Wrong With BRP's Logistics?

A few new sprockets are dribbling through to dealers with the word that it will be early spring before they will be more readily available. Part of the problem is the new sprockets have to also be used on new bikes coming off the line. Saw a sprocket at a dealer last week who said it had been...

Finally have to replace a Vredestein rear tire.

Outstanding! Thanks for the report and pics. Put one on my F3 last summer but had not seen any reports of longevity. Also have them on the front.

Is the F3 rear shock different to the RT's?

Baron, not sure about the 18 model but I have a '16 F3T. Mine does not have the self inflating bladder (or whatever its called) but one that you have to inflate yourself to whatever lb works for you. I do not have any air in mine and the rear is very soft which makes for a very comfortable...

Not at all big on all this black stuff either. Cars have gone that way too, along with dull colors.
