• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Wheels falling off?

Not sure what aircraft you're talking about but you won't find that Micky Mouse red clip design on anything but a Can Am. The retaining clip is an absolute joke - put a stainless steel pin though the axle /nut. The Goofy clip is not secure for even a push toy! Mike

    What's Wrong with the Ryker?

Hello guys - been riding Spyders since 2008 - just got back in bikes, still have my F3 but looking at the Ryker as a second machine. So my questions is there anything broke or in need of fixing or did Can Am get it right out of the box? Thanks In advance Mike

    Cost of Oil Change

The problem is; "It's All fake news" the independent labs are about as crooked and fake as our National News agencies. Those pencil heads in the labs are all paid to let the public know exactly what will help line the pockets of the Gas & Oil companies. Don't you feel paying $4-5 a gallon for...

    Cost of Oil Change

You are are wasting your money there is no way our new oils will break down in less than 10-15,000 miles with the light service these engines have. The dealers have us programmed us like idiots to waste good oil. With the crappy oil we had 10 years ago we changed oil at 10k miles. Oil has...

    First Idler Kit Failure?

When I put up my overview on the Idler - I happened to mention the Idler looked like a cheap asse Tonka Toy and you guys beat up on me like I was nuts . . . . As I said then and I'll say now - Can Am slipped it to all of us not installing a "Good" metal idler when they built the machine - they...

    Don't Bust Your Asse!

Living up here in North Georgia around 20 minutes from Suches, Ga and a little over an hour from the Tail of the Dragon we get a lot of Florida bikes up here, in fact the past week we've had temperatures in the 70's and Sat & Sun it looked like Summer up here with all the bikes on the road...

    Belt tensioner.

For all the BRP admirers and loyal supporters who are happy with BRP's "Stick It To You" Idler fix, who just got screwed into paying for another BRP mistake to install the "Tonka Toy" idler and pay for labor cost while under under warranty, here is just a "Few" of the thousands of complaints...

    Belt tensioner.

Facts are Facts - I exposed BRP for what they are; they forced owners to buy a part that BRP deliberately left off and further burdened them with transporting their bike and paying for labor that should be covered under warranty. Looks like some BRP loyalist got their feeling hurt - they fail...

    Belt tensioner.

Ok - this is getting pretty comical now, it's gone from 20 Minutes to only 5 minutes! LOL You couldn't even get your tools out in 5 minutes, let alone install the idler, so lets quit trying to confuse the issue with "Stupid" remarks. If you think a (non selling) dealer is only going to...

    Belt tensioner.

One this is for certain Mr Can Am Genius "You Did Not Install That idler In 20 Min" so let's get serious! There is no way you removed the side panel, remove the seat remove the rear panel find and remove the bolts install the idler - align the idler - then re-install all the tupperware and...

    Belt tensioner.

As I said I'm not trying to be negative on this forum but please look at it this way; If a part fails on our Can Am's during warranty what do we do? We bring it to a dealer and they fix it and BRP pays for the new parts and labor. Why is the idler any different - BRP knew the belt was...

    Belt tensioner.

By the way if anyone needs help with the install - here's a post I created with a few images - Enjoy! http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?100321-Installing-Your-F3-Belt-Idler-Pulley-Mike-Mas&p=1211557#post1211557

    Belt tensioner.

Wish you were closer friend I would have been happy to install it for you - glad you finished her and while it will improve the vibration, your F3 will still vibrate but its tolerable now - there is no way BRP should have released that bike with this inherent problem. They knew right well it had...

I would rather donate my $40 and my time to my church and let BRP fix their own machine since they neglected to put it on to begin with!

Installing Your F3 Belt Idler Pulley - Mike Mas

Thanks for the reply - I'm not trying to be overly negative however this idler in no way compares to a commercial made Idler. If anything goes wrong such as debris jamming it up or a bearing getting tight or locking up, the bearing will spin in that plastic pulley and melt down will occur in...

Installing Your F3 Belt Idler Pulley - Mike Mas

Thanks for the reply's - If anyone wants to thank BRP for deliberately leaving off an Idler Pulley that they knew was required, that's fine! You can't tell me that no one at BRP felt this belt vibrating. Everyone including BRP knew the F3 had a problem - my selling dealer told me and I quote...

Installing Your F3 Belt Idler Pulley - Mike Mas

No measurement, just parallel to the frame rail as shown. Note this pulley is a quick fix for the belt with no precision adjustments. its just a cheap ass plastic assembly with a bearing and plastic roller. They should have given these to us rather than have us pay for them - I mean this ain't...

Installing Your F3 Belt Idler Pulley - Mike Mas

Thanks for the reply's guys - you can check it before you re-panel it but there's really nothing to do - just make sure the pulley arm is perpendicular to the frame rail / belt as shown in these images and you're good to go.

Installing Your F3 Belt Idler Pulley - Mike Mas

Hey guys - thought I would share a few images and comments with regard to installing the Can Am Idler pulley on the F3-S&T models. Regretfully, BRP failed to install the Idler Pulley - on the F3 models resulting in a terrible and annoying vibration once the bike reaches speeds of 40 mph plus...
