• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Harness

Holy crap! BRP sure created a mess with that "Freedom" trailer. On the other hand you couldn't pull the 622 with anything but the Spyder. Not to mention the oddball 1-7/8 hitch. You guys have been a big help. Thanks.

    Harness

Thanks Ann. I did a search on SL re this subject after posting the original message. BRPs parts web page was of no use at all. Apparently I can't do a search for part numbers in the search window. Unbelievable. So as I understand it, based on the replies, I need to replace the harness on the...

    Harness

I used to have a 2010 RT and now I have the 2015 Rt. I own a 622 trailer. What is the harness I would need to install on the 15, I hear its a 4 pin now, to hook the 5 pin setup on the trailer. BRP is trying to hook me up with a $560 hitch kit. I do not need the hitch. Just the harness that goes...

    Stiff ride and air suspenion

Well I did some snooping and discovered the swing arm sensor was not attached on the bottom. Either the bolt snapped or vibrated out or it was never installed. Anyone know what goes in there? Thanks

    Stiff ride and air suspenion

I brought home my 15 RT Ltd Monday and noticed the rear suspension was really stiff. I "softened" the ride on the air suspension, I can see the gauge on the display, and I bottomed it out. No change on the ride. I put my old hitch on the new bike and stepped on it and noticed there was no give...

L.A. to Vegas - is there a fun way to go?

Ann is correct. Basically head toward Laughlin. There are very few roads across the Mojave. And make sure you are prepared when you take them. Water, protein bars in case you break down again and a little shade. That shade sold by Spydersisters.com works good. Down leave home without telling...

Neodymium Magnets and Inductive-loop traffic detectors

I don't know how you drive over them but its best to cross over them from either the right or left side. This interrupts the loop. Crossing over the top or bottom may not work.

    Whats the difference

Is that shelf the stupid cardboard shelf the rests on two belts that is buckled together? I bought that setup several years ago and was pretty disappointed with it. The bolts on the side keep vibrating loose so the shelf drops down dumping the stuff on it into the well. You'd think with a $30K+...

So does it cost more to have the black frunk lid? That looks weird.

    Yes we're moving on up

So on a whim I decided to stop by my local dealer to see if I would be approved to trade in my 2010 RT for a 2015/16. About a year ago Mr. Sheffield said no. Owed too much on the 10. This time they said yes. I can get the 16 for 7+ percent interest for 6 or 7 years or the 15 for 0 percent for 5...

    Better Buy

A FB friend asked me what will be the best buy, a 2012 RT Ltd, $16000 with 9K miles or a 14 RT-S SE6 for $18500 and 7K? Off hand I would say the 14 but wasn't there an underlying issue with this year?

    Depreciation Rate

$10K???!! Well, they are in the business to move units not make friends. I wonder if there would be a difference if he went to a small dealer vs the mega dealer. If so that would be a plug for the small dealer. But they don't have the inventory of the big dealer. However last year at the Canyon...

    Depreciation Rate

You raise up some good points. Nobody wants a 998 without a warranty. The warranty is half the sale. I do not know if that applies to other high end MC like Goldwings, etc. But on Spyders I believe there are less and less dealers each year and worse less and less qualified techs. Thats a big...
