• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    No more dark storage compartment

Honestly, I just didn't notice soon enough. Had I pressed harder like any smart person would have done I would have been fine.

    No more dark storage compartment

Here's why I don't do my own work So I went to install the light in the top case lid. Easy peasy for any normal human. For me what follows is a 10 second comedic disaster that pretty much exemplifies anything "do it yourselfer" that I do. I locate where in the top case lid I want to put it...

Need advice on 2014 RT I am hoping to buy

So basically service plus tire replacement, plan on forking out and additional $600+ once you get the Spyder, especially here in CA.

Need advice on 2014 RT I am hoping to buy

Agree with this. The dealer being able to look at past history when I bought my used 15 gave me the biggest piece of mind. And if there is no record of brake and oil changes I’d probably take care of those two items just for piece of mind

    Warning warning warning

I am sure I need to dump mine now too given it’s a year old. What a waste, it’s still 99% full. Plus the toxicity means I’ve got to find a disposal site.

    Warning warning warning

Bought it in May of 18, low fluid probably in June or July then brake fluid replaced along with oil in Feb., so yes. It's been fine ever since.

    Warning warning warning

That's probably a good question that I need to rethink. Shortly after I got my used 15 I experienced low Brake fluid parking brake error and the Spyder rolled when I tried to park it. Adding brake fluid took care of the problem although I find reading the fluid level difficult. I didn't know...

Seat recommendation for a 2018 Spyder RT Limited

Russell Day Long for me and the stock seat was uncomfortable the minute I sat on it. Like others said try to sit on them before you make up your mind.

That IS NOT what he said. He merely referenced a topic here that’s been debated ad nauseum.

Did You Or Will You Switch To FULL Synthetic Oil Upon 1st Oil Change?

Ok throttle back folks. This is one of those everyone has an opinion topics. If you have one go ahead but leave comments and thoughts about someone else’s opinion out of it please. Here’s my opinion, I had synthetic in when I took it in for a change that the prior owner had put in. I forgot...

Advice to new ryders - possible sticky?

Despite a million posts here I am still fiddling with tire pressures etc. Take to heart you have to know your bike your way, no one else’s opinion matters and the more time you spend on it the more it will teach you. Damn thing is like owning a horse. And only slightly less expensive. :ohyea:

    Sena Headset and accessories

If that is all you need it for i'd probably go with the 10's and talk to Dave. I have the 30's, that I got from Dave, but I got it with the idea of not needing to upgrade again for a very long time but they are more money than you need to spend.
