• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trying to decide if I want to start doing my own oil changes - what should I budget?

. I don't know if this is a problem with the newer :spyder2:s but; I used a Dremel tool and opened up the two holes for the drain plugs in the plastic pans. Much less messy...........

Dreaded parking brake locked and clicks only!

. Good luck finding the gremlin that is causing the PB problem. When I started hearing about these problems, I started leaving the PB off in the garage and using wheel chocks. I did loosen the cable adjustment a little.

Limp Home mode due to water pump/thermostat - OK to ride?

. Don't know what a "modular" is??? Could be the Electronic Control Unit (ECU). They must be expensive BUT they are easy to replace, and SELDOM fail. I to have been to water pump/thermostat hell. The thermostat broke into 2 pieces. I replaced the pump (at about $300), but it also was defective...

Air Hawk vs Badass seat pads - will the cheaper Badass wear as well?

. Both my wife and I are using AirHawks, have so for at least 5 years. Many miles and hours in the saddle. They work GREAT. Sit in an Airhawk, not on it. Lew L

    Random thought for the day

The hwy 80/395 interchange through the heart of Reno was labeled as a 10-year project (yes, they said TEN years) It's been at least 3 years so far with no end in sight. Just so glad I don't have to drive it each day. It's always a big traffic jam, with regular accidents.

Need suggestions on how to keep my RT radiators clean?

Thanks for the great idea..... I just did this simple mod. Radiator grills were clear as I give them a vac and blow after most rydes. Cut a little oversize so I don't need any extra supports. A 30 to 45 min job, including painting.

PedalBox - sport mode makes no difference on set throttle - OK or not??

The ECU ( stage 1) I did years ago is great. It also did enhance throttle activation some. Decades ago I did add a device on my poor, old, slow V-Max to have the V-Boost open much earlier, kinda like the throttle boosters talked about here. It's one step above useless. I seldom turn it...
