• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any ideas where to look for whatever this is with my 2016 RT's Power steering???

Without BUDS, there's not a whole lot that you can do at home to find and correct the root cause, but there are some things you can check that will give you an idea of which way this is going to go. For example, if you have a typical, finished concrete garage floor, go out to the bike, get on...

I have a dead 2023 RT, no electrics except lights - any thoughts?

See pic. Do your headlights work - Low and Hi Beams? It might be because you had done some relay swapping and what-not. Try to put everything back the way it was, make sure all relays and fuses are seated, and make sure all the fuses are OK again. Tidy up inside both of those fuse boxes.

2021 RT Limited - is this the latest Head Unit Firmware?

No, you don't have a Bluetooth problem, and in this case, BRP is correct. It's a common misconception so don't feel bad. In a nutshell: BRP CONNECT is the name given to the networking technology that they use to “connect” the phone to the bike. Hence the name. BRP GO is the name of the App...

2021 RT Limited - is this the latest Head Unit Firmware?

I asked AI, and it said that 50.21 was the latest for the cluster. Because you have that already, I think that it’s safe to think, that at some point in its past, your bike was at a dealer and received all the latest updates, and that there is no reason to question the rest, as that would have...

Exclamation Mark and Fault Code P210A on a 2023 S2S - Any ideas?

Not trying to be a wise guy or anything, but the code for Suspension Fault is C210A. Just a coincidence? Maybe look at the code again. It is triggered by the suspension taking too long to reach the correct height. Excellent explanation by Sage. Here's a photo of the part that he was talking...

Exclamation Mark and Fault Code P210A on a 2023 S2S - Any ideas?

Well, I fired up BUDS2 and opened a 2023 file, and searched the Fault Code database. I found no listing for a P210R. There is a section of P210's that relate to your Throttle Body, but none ending in "R". So, would you please double check that code again. Merry Christmas.

Can anyone tell me how to remove the front seat and disconnect the seat heat? How can I get to that seat heat plug?

Mine was like that when I went to swap seats. It took about 5 minutes, but I was finally able to wrangle the connector back up out of that opening. It had to be manipulated into the right position and angle. Kicked my butt for awhile. See what you can do. Keep at it. Good luck.

I have a dead 2023 RT, no electrics except lights - any thoughts?

To answer Peter's question - Yes, every Spyder has a fusible link. HOWEVER, it's located in the charging circuit electrical line between the alternator/magneto and the battery. It's not between the battery and the fuse boxes. So, in this case, it is not a player. For the OP, You stated that you...

Screeching sound from right side engine bay of 2013 RT - any thoughts on cause, fix?

Well, David. I suppose that the good news is that you don't have a Low Oil Pressure Warning Light on. But, that only deepens the mystery. Especially because it is so RPM sensitive - that's a bit weird. Would it be a metal-on-metal noise, or maybe some weird acoustic noise in your intake -...

2019 RT Ltd - won't shift into 1st - FIXED - reverse bracket was bent

Well then, looks like your smoking gun is the bent bracket for the reverse interlock. On that bracket is a little solenoid that is connected to the interlock lever by a small cable. Normally, when you push the R button, the solenoid energizes and pulls the lever to the rear. It must be bent to...

2019 RT Ltd - won't shift into 1st - FIXED - reverse bracket was bent

If you've bent the bracket to the point that the reverse interlock lever has been pulled into the deployed position, (pulled to the rear) it will prevent shifting into first, also. See pic. It's a mechanical interlock inside the gearbox. So, jack it up safely, crawl under there and see what's...

Screeching sound from right side engine bay of 2013 RT - any thoughts on cause, fix?

Thoughts? Yes, and they're all expensive. But first, when you say “when the throttle is off”, you mean with the engine running at idle? When you raise RPM just a bit, are you saying that the noise immediately disappears? Just asking if that’s what you meant and if that is significant. Plus, do...

Is anyone out there Ryding with a Pacemaker?

Hey David. My wife has been riding with a pacemaker for 4 years. From a health standpoint, you'll be at less risk when operating a vehicle than you are now. That’s the point, right? If your question is about the pacemaker itself? Your Dr. should go over what activities to avoid relating to EMFs...

What year RT or F3 rear shock will fit my '15 RS

+1 with racoon. Your rear suspension is a system, designed around the GVW of the Spyder and whether or not the spring works in conjunction with an air spring (air bag) or stands alone. An RT or F3 rear suspension won’t be what you want. You can replace your shock separately from the spring, ie...

Can I Add cruise control to a 2014 RS SM5 by just replacing the RH Hand grip/Control module?

Folks in this thread talked of doing this on both a 2015 and 2013, so looks good for you. And if I’m reading it right, you’ll just need the sliding control button and that half of the outer shell. Your current right hand module has the guts already inside...

Having Apple CarPlay problems with iPhone 17 - anyone had success with the 2024/25 dash and an Apple 17? Issue Resolved Woo Hoo

Well, it makes perfect sense. The connector is physically symmetric, but not electrically symmetric. It’s up to the host to sense the orientation and respond. From Wikipedia; The USB‑C receptacles have two-fold rotational symmetry because a plug may be inserted into a receptacle in either of...

Anyone else get this Howling Noise? What's the fix?

Hi Bob. That missing piece for the left side service panel by the “PULL”, is also missing on my 2023. After a pretty close visual inspection, the area of the missing piece is not rough or jagged as you would expect if it had been broken. Rather, it almost looks like it was molded that way on...

Does anybody have a photo or sketch of how the Springs on the Stop light switch subject to the recall should look/be fitted, please?

Hey Flier. That larger coil spring on the cable side is a helper spring that assists in pulling the switch back in when you release the brake pedal. That was added by the recall. It wasn't there before. But, you have a 2021 RT. Per the Recall, you were supposed to get a new replacement Brake...

2011 RSS. Has a squeaking sound in the lower left rear at lower speeds - any ideas what it might be?

Well, you're a good guy that gives a Spyder a good home. Now then, let's look up stuff and not go by memory. You have two different types of bearings on the rear wheel. The sprocket bearing is a double row bearing because it takes the stress of the belt tension. The wheel bearings are standard...

Does anyone have any OEM Part #'s for trailer harnesses? Or know of an A/mkt shop to order from?

Looks like the previous owner removed his BRP trailer module with the 9-pin round connector from his older RT, and installed it onto his 2017 so that he could keep pulling his RT-622 with the 9-pin tongue harness. I think I remember that guy. Now you're the one stuck with it. If that module you...
