• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone tried the Pedal Commander plug n play Throttle Controller?

Just don't change the settings while you are on the throttle, and you shouldn't get any codes. For me, I basically put in in the Sport mode towards the middle and I like the way my throttle reacts, and I leave it alone. I can use my app to change it at any time, and the unit is under the...

    Another Pedal Commander Thread

Even just to have half the throttle turn to get it up to speed made it worthwhile for me --- I would love to see two or three factory settings for throttle response built in to the Spyder, which would likely be a very easy piece of programming.

Advice please on 2021 RT options

My 2020RTL experience was very different. The ride felt on the unstable side for me until I put the bar in. To be fair, I've been riding with a bar for years on my 2010 and 2014, so I probably felt the difference more acutely than somebody who hasn't ridden with one.

Problem pairing iphone 11 to 2020 rt limited

Unfortunately, BRP Connect isn't worth the effort to use. Your phone paired with your headset has far more options and is infinitely easier to use and more stable than BRP Connect. I tried as well, and while I could eventually pair my iPhone 11, nothing worked very well. It is the one thing...

Concept Design - Spyder ST Facelift

    Great color and design.

    The wait is soon over..............

I hate to break it to you, but there really isn't more speed, but it does feel peppier. My throttle commander also helped with that, and was an easy self install. Once you use Lou, you'll never do anything except warranty work at a dealership again.

Looking for a Route Tracker App

Thanks for the suggestions, but I posted this in hopes of finding people with experience with apps, rather than trying a bunch out. I think I'll stick with my iPhone as well.

Looking for a Route Tracker App

It was something like Glimpse I was looking for, thank you. Waze is great, but a very different thing.

    The wait is soon over..............

So happy to hear that. They assemble all of the Spyders as a central facility (I ended up getting mine from Del Amo and went with the red/black 2020 and love it).

Looking for a Route Tracker App

For years, I've used a $5-ish app called Route Tracker that did simple GPS tracking and was able to be shared with my wife just by sending her a link once I started my ride. I could easily look back on old rides on a Google Map, and it had no monthly fee. All good things must come to an end...

    Warranty question

When I tried, and I tried hard, it was made very clear to me that you can only extend under the original two year manufacturer's warranty, not the BEST warranty, which is an extended warranty.

    Warranty question

And, to add to that, mine came with four years (two years of BEST) and when I tried to extend around the 3.5 year mark, it wasn't possible with anybody at all. No matter who you use, you have no more than factory two year warranty to make an extension. I would have had covered repairs that...

2020 Spyder F3T fault code U3001 - what does it mean? Fix?

If you don't ride it at least weekly, I would hook it up to a battery tender to keep it juiced up. There may be better recommendations, but something along these lines should do it...

Having a problem getting registered in California.

I've lived in Los Angeles since I grew up, and there is no question that emissions controls made a huge difference in the quality of life here. When I was growing up, there were constant "smog days" and the view was often simply brown. It's not like that anymore, and I like to be able to ride...

So glad to hear that they are making this right. A great reason to do business with them!

    Race Tech Suspension

I've used them on both of my RTs and they are very good and of a very high quality. When I needed one rebuilt (my fault) it was done in a very reasonable amount of time. When it's time to replace the ones on my new 2020 (and it will be around 30K miles), I'll spend the money again to do it...

Having a problem getting registered in California.

I have to disagree. iMotorsports does a LOT of business off of this site, and most people who have dealt with them seem to have very good stories. I can't say for certain how they will handle this, but it is the easiest and best path to pursue first. If that fails, or they drag their feet...

Having a problem getting registered in California.

I can't imagine that it would be your responsibility to ask for a Spyder that can be registered legally in the state in which is being delivered to, where they know you reside, AND WHERE THEY CHARGED YOU SALES TAX FOR (correct me if I'm wrong on that). They blew it, plain and simple. An honest...

Having a problem getting registered in California.

When I called iMotorsports about a possible sale, I mentioned that I need a "50 state model" and they said now virtually all of them are. THEY SHOULD ABSOLUTELY KNOW TO SEND YOU A CA MODEL, as it was delivered there, and they no doubt collected CA sales tax. They did seem to be aware of the...

Does the new 2020 RT Limited need Baja Ron bar?

My experience in comparing a 2014 with a bar to a 2020 without one is that the 2014 with a bar is a much more stable ride. I don't think you need to be a speed demon at all - you'll easily feel the difference on the curves, even at the speed limit. Does it NEED the bar - none of them NEED the...
