• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Installed the EVO Sway Bar.

OK, got to try out the new to me sway bar this weekend in Hill Country out by New Braunfels, TX. WOW! What a difference! I had heard all the owners singing the praises of the bar, and thought, "OK, maybe it helps a little." It changes the ride ALOT! Very flat around corners compared to...

    breakdowns with coolant

Pepper in the water will eventually fill in the seeps and swell to clog them. I uised this trick on alot of clunkers when I was young, and usually sold them quickly thereafter. Dont think Id trust it as a permanent fix on the Spyder though.

    Installed the EVO Sway Bar.

Got the Spyder all back together last night. I spread the work out over about 3 days, only because its SO HOT in the garage here in TX. Total hours spent on it was about 2.5 to 3 from start to finish. It was alot easier than I imagined it would be. Havent had a chance to ride it yet, but...

    In shop for new DPS

I once had a brake shop try to hold my car hostage after a brake inspection saying they couldnt safely release or even put it back together with the worn parts it had. I asked them if they were sure thats the route they wanted to take. They said "Yup" I asked if I could use their phone, and...

The Elephant Has Left The Building!

My thoughts exactly! I have had no issues since I had my DPS replaced, so I plan on letting my dealer get through the hectic phase of this recall before I schedule mine. Ive been pretty relaxed on some of the things my dealers service department has done and said, so I hope they appreciate my...

Where you can and can not drill your key

Cool! Thanks Lamont! Good to know that the chip can be salvaged / seperated from the key should it ever break or be damaged.

    Another way to tow?

Neat idea, but that system relys on that front wheel turning as you go around corners and such. With our back wheel up on it, I dont think you could get the right mechanics if the steering was strapped straight.

Can Spyder parts be ordered online?

One of the sponsors on the site (see the home page for their banner / link) is Berts Mega mall in CA. I bought an extended warranty through them with no hiccups. I believe they said they would also sell parts online / via email as well. Cowtown is a sponsor also. I know theres a couple other...
