• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Can Am beats Harley

Turning off topic for a moment, but this popped up in some other context yesterday and it seems appropriate so mention here. Most of you have probably heard it or read it many times but it still is a great story about one-upping someone related to speed. I know it puts a smile on my face every...

An Embarrasing but funny story I have to share...

Interesting to read how many people don't use the big red switch. As a motorcycle safety instructor, we coach all our students (two and three wheel) to use the "engine cutoff switch" (we don't want them killing our motorcycles :-) ) before reaching for the key. Two reasons: 1. Develop the...

Trying to figure out if Sea to Sky is better for me than RT Ltd?

I'm still waiting on delivery of my 2024 but went through the same decision process. Decided on the RTL. I rented a 2023 back in October and went for a 200+ mile ride. I had no problems with the stock seat on the RTL. That may change with longer days and back to back days in the future, but I...

Spyderlovers - Facebook - Or Both?

I use this site and view FB so I could have given the third response to the poll. But using both regularly (I do) and liking both equally (I don't) are two different things (a matter of semantics as you mentioned). So I answered the poll with preferring this site. If I could only have one, this...

HowTo: Update the software on the Can-Am Spyder 10.25” touchscreen display.

Do the "Minor bug fixes" in this update include enabling CarPlay? Anybody had a chance to try it yet? I'm still awaiting delivery of my RTL so I can't check.

    Bickelton Ride, WA.

For sure, Mabton-Bickelton-Goldendale (or the reverse) is certainly a nice option to 97 between Goldendale and Toppenish if you have the time. I'm hoping to get out that way this year and hit Hwy 142 between Lyle and Goldendale. Though I'll probably peel off of 142 on the Glenwood Hwy to...

Chrome or Blacked-out - am I the only one who likes Chrome??

I think the Platine (strange name, they should have gone with Platinum or Chrome) version looks great, but I'm not willing to cough up the extra $1500 for it. I did, however, order mirror covers that are silver rather than black because that part of the look and some degree of enhanced...

Any reason not to Connect heated gear to acc outlets on 2022 F3?

I'm awaiting delivery of my 2024 Spyder RTL and am prepping for things I know I want to add. How long of a line will I need to get from the battery to the seat to be able to plug in my WarmNSafe jacket? Is the standard 32 inch W&S cable enough?

    Lamont: Get Well My Friend

I don't even have my Spyder yet but I know how much you mean to this community Lamonster. Prayers for a speedy recovery!

Is an Aerostich suit the way to go? Or not?

So many variables to your decision but here's my experience. Note that this is on a 2009 Suzuki DL650 V-Strom - I won't have my Spyder for a few weeks yet. I mention that because airflow differences between the two machines could make things different. I wore a 2003 Roadcrafter Classic (I...

    Thanks A Lot, Can-Am!!

In Oregon all the training bikes are Rykers, and yes, they are electronically limited to help keep people safe. But they still have plenty of response to let you experience the fun of being on 3W as BoatFixx discovered. I got my first chance on one in a class three years ago with with retirement...
