• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Thanks very much, DDT.

    Front and rear seat backrests

Are the BRP front and back seat backrests of good quality and a good fit? I am buying a new F3-S in August and I have been offered 1,000 euros towards accessories. Those two and the Mono Seat Cowl are three things I'm interested in.

Thanks, MakoShark2. I am going to AngelPilot this afternoon.

    3000 mile service f3s

So the bike doesn't need an initial oil change until 3,000 miles? Is the oil in the engine from new mineral or semi-synthetic?

    RELIABILITY

Thanks for this post, MakoShark2. You are the second Lisbonite (the other was on the FB Portugal page) to tell me he has no issues in the first 15,000 km or so. That is encouraging. Since my last post, I have found out AngelPilot stock these bikes, and I am going to take a look early next week...

    RELIABILITY

Thanks to MakoShark2 and mcalva. I am aware of the Lagoa place. I was thinking of popping down there tomorrow to see what they can do. It is an awful long way to Porto, but maybe it's a good idea to buy from somewhere which knows about these machines as opposed to somewhere which specialises in...

    Sissy bar bag

Here's an idea. I reckon the OE back rest which clicks on to the F3 will take a Ventura bag slotted over it. I have an old Bathurst Pack; 63 litres, it would sit on the back seat. www.ventura-bike.com No need to buy the frame. They won't have one for a Can-Am, anyway. I've had my bag since...

The last post was over four years ago. Is the situation better now? I want to buy one.

    RELIABILITY

Over three-and-a-half years later, and there is an Can-Am dealer established in the country I live in. I'm going up to have a look. The time has maybe come. Do you still have yours, OJ UK? Reliable?

    YAMAHA - 3

Looks good to me. And it will be one hell of a lot cheaper and extremely reliable. Plus you can lean.

Powered by the MT/FZ-09 engine, this is one wild-looking machine. Anyone on here like it, too?

They're the best ones for me.

What's the deal with the back tire wearing out so fast?

Maybe a naive question, but is it a tricky job changing the rear wheel on an F3?

    F3 S- Motor Seize

Would an engine slightly overfilled with oil have such an effect?

I HATE BRP FOR MAKING THE F3!

I would if I could then register it in Portugal. But I wouldn't be able to.

I HATE BRP FOR MAKING THE F3!

I get you. If you don't mind me asking, how much is the F3/F3S in Spain? I live in Portugal, and there are no dealers here. If there was, I'd have one. I don't hold out too much hope of Portugal having a dealership, either, given the constraints placed on dealerships here. :opps: Where in Spain...

    Who needs Saddlebags?

I don't like saddlebags, either. With the really useful aftermarket backrest fitted in the passenger position (thread elsewhere on here), my 62L Ventura bike pack would probably slip over it. When not touring the backrest would revert to supporting the rider.

    Performance mods or scrap F3-S?

It's hardly slow. 0 to 60 MPH in 4.8 seconds. You must have a very fast car!

    f3 accesories

Apart from Corbin, have any aftermarket companies started making accessories for the F3?
