• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

I think my 26 S2S is geared about 10% higher final drive than an F3S in the US. If we are both doing 60 mph in 6th gear, like the OP, you are pulling 10% or more revs than I am, so I may need to go a gear further down to get into the power band to pass something for the same speed. You're also...

Looking for 2026 RT Ltd or Sea to Sky equipment recommendations, brands/makes of phone mounts & cup/bottle holders, and a decent Half Cover?

I use this from Amazon, but it's not a lightweight material. However, it's much lighter and more compact than the full size version that comes standard with the 2026 S2S (well, at least mine did - they did give you the full size cover, didn't they?) XYZCTEM Can-Am Spyder RT Cover, Outdoor...

You knew it had to come - there's a Chinese Spyder!

It has some interesting and a few innovative features. 1. Front wheel drive. No belts or rear shaft. 2. Auto high beam headlights. 3. Tire pressure monitors. 4. Turn signals on left and right bars, like older BMWs. 5. Ability to turn off traction control. 6. Reasonable 80 bhp from a 1,000 cc...

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

Peak torque is at 5,000 rpm and peak power just over 7,000 rpm on the Spyder. You have to consider power to weight ratio too. The BMW probably produces approximately the same level of power but weighs at least 300 pounds less. That's a lot of extra weight. The Spyder is not as zippy as the BMW...

Is there any Owner affordable BUDS?

You say the ground is showing less than one 1 volt under the battery voltage, but that is relative to what? Every voltage should be relative to the battery's -ve terminal or the frame/engine block. Perhaps I'm not understanding you correctly? If you have 1 volt less than the battery voltage...

Is there any Owner affordable BUDS?

Where did you buy it from? I'll buy one and give it a go with my OBDII reader. Do you have a part number etc?

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

Trying to do a Mount Nebo Loop ride but there have been continuous thunderstorms in the mountains for the past week. It even rained a few times here in the valleys. First it was a furnace, now it's thunderstorms. Hope to go on Thursday if the forecast holds.

I have a mildly annoying problem while riding - phone won't bluetooth when plugged in to charge - are there any iPhone experts out there who can help?

Ah yes, I think this is so. Sorry, this is a bit of a long one, but this is what I do: What I have is two cables I can swap between. I have 90 degree USB A to USB C adapter in the glove box. I can plug either USB C cable into this. From there I run two USB cables to the phone mount. I have...

Is this Ryker Handle Bar Jiggle normal on lousy roads?

If your toe in is 0.5" per side, then that's approximately just 1.8 degrees per side for a total of getting on for 3.6 degrees toe in, in total. That would be a lot. If it's 0.25" per side for 0.5" in total, it would be just under 1.8 degrees overall. That would be a bit better. This all...

    My 2014 ST SM5 Project

Is the fuel pump providing enough fuel pressure or is it on the way out? Sitting for a long time doesn't always work out well for them. Vacuum lines rot with age and leak. Spyders don't like that and they are cheap to replace. Notorious problem. Battery? A good deal of Spyder issues come down...

How do the newer upgrade Kenda tires compare with the old model Kenda tires?

So far the XPS branded Kendas on my 2026 seem to be noticeably better than the OEM ones I had on my 2021. I think they are an improvement, but by how much and whether they are closer to the standard of a decent suitable car tire, I wouldn't like to say. Having ridden a Spyder on these XPS...

    My 2014 ST SM5 Project

I'd get it up and running well, engine wise, before investing a lot of time with everything else. That should tell you the basic electronics regarding the engine are at least functioning correctly. They are the best looking Spyder for sure.

What, another seven years? I'm not sure I can take that much.

Does anyone make/sell pull back risers or handlebars for a 2016 RT?

Do note though, the further back you bring the bars the more it changes the feeling of the steering. When the hands are rotating around the axis of the steering head it is different compared to when the hands pivot from behind the steering head. It introduces a slight tiller effect to the...

Your Weather News @ August 2026

Here in Utah we’ve had a summer of fun with 100°F days galore. Now it has decided to rain for days on end with thunderstorms every day. It’s just weird.

Here's the results of testing/determining the Power Consumption of my iPhone...

Having read the documentation for the Enovation OD1025 circuit board, one states that sustained power consumption of 500 mA or 6.5 Watts can cause the board to shut down. Another source also states, in total contradiction, that above a 2 A current draw will initiate a USB or board shutdown. A...

I just started a thread under General Spyder relating to measurements I have been making with my iPhone. I tested things with a cheap current USB V/A/W digital meter, which I list a link for in there, so here's a link to that thread...

Here's the results of testing/determining the Power Consumption of my iPhone...

Thank you. The little device I mention is about $12, it’s trivial to operate with no technical knowledge whatsoever. For those suffering from the inability to get their phones to charge on the Spyder, it’s perhaps worth buying one and testing the difference between power consumption from a...

Here's the results of testing/determining the Power Consumption of my iPhone...

Using the following device I bought off Amazon, I did some experiments with my iPhone to see what voltages and amperage values I get from a USB connection from a 60W charger via USB C to my 2026 Sea to Sky with USB A. USB C Tester Power Meter, 4-30V 0-12A Type-C PD Tester Digital Multimeter...
