• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone know of an item that will allow Can Am Go navigation to broadcast instructions over the speakers?

I'm not a user of BRP Go! navigation. I know for Apple CarPlay with Apple Maps, you just need a USB connection to the Spyder from your phone and a Bluetooth connection to your helmet. However, I believe to get certain functions out of BRP functions outside of Apple CarPlay you need the same...

Catastrophic Damage at 2026 D3WR - any suggestions on transporters to ship an F3 home to NC?

Ah, got you. I have an exponentially reducing brain function. I get lost on the threads. I'm easily confused. Don't ever get old, it's not good.

Can BUDS (or anything) change the Throttle effort on a Spyder?

One of the after market products like PedalBox or Pedal Commander won't change the throttle spring tension, nor will they increase the ultimate performance, but they will reduce the amount of angle you have to twist the throttle in order to open the throttle bodies. They work by intercepting...

Catastrophic Damage at 2026 D3WR - any suggestions on transporters to ship an F3 home to NC?

That unfortunately is nearly five states away. It's just a tad too far when my local dealer is 5 miles down the road and they do a decent job with service and maintenance.

    Review: Elka Stage 2's on 2015 F3 S

You might want to watch some videos by Dave Moss on his “Two Clicks Out” series on you tube. A lot of it is setting sag, spring rates and damping for track riders though he of does setups for two wheel road bikes. However, he talks a lot about the principles of what he is doing. He’s certainly...

August 17th 6:30 PM ET for BRP Can Am and Sea Doo 2027 lineup event

I think the move to digital interfaces was a result of marketing a vehicle reviewers. They’ve kind of told us this is what we want, because it looks cool and modern. Vehicle makers have gone on to try to one up each other as this has become one of the few ways to differentiate their products. I...

Should I roll off the Throttle when upshifting, or maintain the position? What are the best RPM's?

I tend to keep above 3,000 RPM. However, as peak torque is around about 5,000 RPM, I find revving it out much beyond that doesn’t gain a lot.

August 17th 6:30 PM ET for BRP Can Am and Sea Doo 2027 lineup event

Well the RT’s went through a refresh for 2024 model year, so I strongly suspect changes will be minor and probably reserved to colors. It would be nice to see safety features like blind spot detection and perhaps convenience features like radar assisted cruise control. Another gallon in the...

Enjoying my Redrock with Unlimited access to all roads!

Depending upon where you go and who owns the land, you might want to talk to that particular agency about requirements for spark arrestors and whether you need one with the exhaust you have fitted. Due to the potential fire hazard conditions, I have heard of random stops by various agencies to...

Anyone experienced vibrations in their 2026 Sea to Sky Mirrors, like those in earlier 2020+ models?

I suspect it’s just a sympathetic vibration from the engine. Nothing is loose, everything fits snug. It’s one of those resonant frequency things inherent in the design. It’s getting better as the engine runs in.

Anyone experienced vibrations in their 2026 Sea to Sky Mirrors, like those in earlier 2020+ models?

My mirror housing doesn't seem to be vibrating independent of the fairing. It seems that the left hand mirror glass itself is what is vibrating. The movement of the mirror in the housing is smooth and exactly how you would expect it to feel compared with the right hand one.

Catastrophic Damage at 2026 D3WR - any suggestions on transporters to ship an F3 home to NC?

Unfortunately for me, the nearest dealers beyond those couple near me, are a long days ride there, an overnight stay, and a long days ride back. Even then, those dealers are experiencing the same model mixes as locally so their pricing seems to be similar. It would be a two or three days ride to...

Is the Canyon Riding position narrower than the RT's? Enough to notice & stop cramping hips?

I’m 67. Arthritis is the problem, including at C1 to C3 vertebrae trapping nerves. I’m falling apart. My body is catching up with my cognitive decline I think. I don’t think there are exercises available that are going to help me much. On a long distance riding day, it’s an Excedrin Arthritis...

What is the oil capacity of a 2026 S2S? Does it hold more than 5 Qts of oil?

As a dry sump engine, the difference may be due to differences in the oil tank size and/or the length of the plumbing. I think the internal volume of the engines itself is likely to be the same, I would have thought,

Catastrophic Damage at 2026 D3WR - any suggestions on transporters to ship an F3 home to NC?

That’s a bit of a problem with the shipping industry. Unless you pay a set price for on particular company to do the work themselves, they put it out to bid. In the end you get the lowest price bidder and you have little idea or control over how they treat your vehicle. It may end up being a...

Wondering about replacing my '21 Spyder with a '26 (or '27) - any thoughts on the newer Spyders being different or better enough to justify the spend?

The biggest item is the seat. My wife says the rear seat is 10x better. The variable wind deflectors are actually quite useful too. There’s the backup camera as standard, the rider’s removable backrest, and a vehicle cover. Most of the rest is largely cosmetic, such as the fancy bronze wheels...

Anyone experienced vibrations in their 2026 Sea to Sky Mirrors, like those in earlier 2020+ models?

My 2026 Sea to Sky is worse than my 2021 RT LTD. The right hand mirror is fine on the 26 and was on the 21. The left hand mirror was a little shaky on the 21 but is a bunch worse on the 26. I'm just hoping that as the engine runs in and smooths out, it will get better. It's not terrible and...

    Canyon Carving on a Canyon

My feedback would be as Ron says, perhaps a shaft drive as on the Ryker. I'd also think dropping the price about 10% would undercut the BMW Adventure bike crowd a bit more. Crossing the $30K boundary for an off road motorcycle type vehicle is a little spendy. Where it is, in Spyder Sea to Sky...

Comparing how we ride our Spyders - what does your trip meter say??

I don't think I've ever used the trip meters on a Spyder. I just trust the fuel gauge, as I've come to understand its foibles, and I've filled up before I've gotten even close to the light coming on to prolong the life of the fuel pump. Before motorcycles had fuel gauges, you just had simple...

Here's the Current drawn by my iPhone when using Apple Maps and Apple Music - does anybody else use this device to measure their current draw?

Yes it is. They are much smaller than they appear in the advert, so the detailed data screen and the graph screen are tricky to read. The instantaneous Volts/Amps/Watts screen is easy though. They are the size of a fat USB memory stick. I thought it was pretty good value for $13. It shipped...
