• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone else dealing with this sort of Gas Mileage?

This was really an issue when I rode Harleys, given how hot they run. But I always try to fill up when it says I still have 50-60 DTE. If Momma is with me she is ready for a break anyway.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Still not quite ready to ride due to shoulder surgery and still a little chilly in Northern Arizona. But I did take the Garmin XT into the house and updated both the firmware and the maps to the latest versions. I also updated my Sena 50S. I tried to update my wife's 20R EVO but the USB cord...

Wow! No One uses this sub-forum? Any interest in putting together an Ohio Club?

Don't know how you feel about Facebook, but I know of a few who have had a lot of success posting rides in their specific areas. Nothing formal, just let people know where you are headed and when, then see if anyone wants to tag along.

I made a Pedal Commander Waterproof case!

Mine is also under my seat. No reason to have it mounted out in the open. Bad weather and thieves can happen at anytime.

Choosing between Spyder or Tri-Glide? Drawbacks for either?

I spent decades riding Harleys. When my knees got bad and old age start creeping in I decided I needed a trike. So I bought a 2016 TriGlide. At first I was ok, but after awhile I realized how much work it was to ride. No more counter steering, and it was way under powered. So after 5 years...

Think of changing from a Freewheeler - is the Spyder any easier &/or safer?

Your story kinda sounds like mine. Rode Harleys for decades. When they got to be too much weight for my bad knees I bought a TriGlide. That was in 2016. My experience was similar to yours in that the back end wants to push the front end. I didn't fear it tipping over, just hard to steer. I...

Here be a newbie - with a bunch of questions about riding, twitchy handling, & brakes

Hang in there Poprivit. I have ridden your Spyder and can attest all is normal. It was the first Spyder I ever rode and it convinced me that it was the way to go. This after decades on Harleys, with the last 5 years on a TriGlide. I should have switched sooner. It just takes a little...

After suggestions on Essential Tools to carry?

Rather than adjusting the parking brake to release the tension you can just remove this bolt and the arm. I took this pic as I was putting it back together, so the spring was not on yet. Using this method also makes it easy to remove the spring once the bolt is out. Uses the same 12mm wrench...

    Wow! Wicked fast internet

We have Sparklight here in rural AZ. All connections are via WIFI. I have a Netgear modem/router Orbi20 with 2 satellites, so I have coverage in the house/garage/shop. Not near as fast a fiber, but doubt they will ever get to fiber in our small community.

Anyone installed this Motorcycle Car Play Unit or similar on 2020+ RT or F3?

sounds like a GM problem. They might even be posturing to come out with some integration of their own. Apple CarPlay works flawlessly in our Subaru.

Running ECO Mode - my MPG results.

Have a 21 Legacy XT and typically get around 32mpg or a little more if I stay off the freeway. Just about 3 mpg less than my Spyder on highway. On the freeway the Spyder gets less than the Subie.

Info that might help when replacing front sprocket!

I had my temporary fix done the end of July last year (2022), and because of a surgery I postponed having the final recall fix done in May of this year. Dealer had no issue getting the parts. Once I was able to ride I called to setup the appointment for the fix and they had the part in less...
