• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How do I adjust the headlight aim left to right (horizontally) on my 2016 RTL? Any hints, directions?

Correction to the above, courtesy of the 2016 Operator’s Guide; - US/North America Spec: One brass adjustment knob per side. Upper headlight assembly up/down. - European/Australian Spec: Two brass adjustment knobs per side. Lower headlight assembly up/down. Upper headlight assembly up/down...

Oil Leak on 2023 RTL caused by oil filter cap O-ring...

Well, if he used a non-BRP/XPS oil change kit, where all of the O-rings in his were black and he got them mixed up, then there's also an incorrect one on the Engine Drain Plug. The thin one that was supposed to be on the filter stick. One that's too thin for the drain plug.

Found some codes on my 2024 Spyder RTL - P195B, then BUDS revealed more...

So, some background information about codes. A fault code can exist in two states - Active and Occurred. The only time a code lights the light is when it is actually Active. And of course, that could be only for a second or two... or less. You won't see the light on unless you ride around...

2019 F3 T - How to access the bolt on the front of the rear caliper? Exhaust and brackets are in the way.

Remove the muffler. One bolt, one clamp, no gaskets. That's the procedure. Piece of cake.

Is the Alternator shaft squeal just a nuisance, or is it damaging anything?

I was going to stay out of this, but... It's not the bearings or gears that are squealing, not a lack of lube. Parts #7 are spring washers, similar to Bellville Washers, that form a "slipper clutch", between the gear end of the shaft and the alternator end of the shaft. It's there to prevent...

Cruise control not working after replacing switch - does it need to be coded with BUDS to work? Any ideas?

Hey AJ. Just checking on the obvious here - when you tried out the cruise control you were going faster than 25 - 30 MPH, right? Next, because you have a shop manual, you can read how the cruise works. The switch commands from the cruise switch on the right hand side, are sent to the left side...

Voltage going down as I accelerate, even with a new battery! Code P0562. What has happened?

Could that code have been P0562? Hopefully, you got a Yuasa YTX-24HL. Anyway, we've said it on here a million times. Before you replace a battery, you have to give it an activation charge with a battery charger. It takes close to 20 hours at 2 amps. Dealers and stores don't take the time to do...

How do I replace a 2012 RT right turn lamp?

So, understand that it is an LED array, not a light bulb. About 160 bucks new. Part number 710001511. Used ones on eBay sometimes. The mirror shell is held together with tabs clicking into slots. It wasn't originally meant to be owner replaceable. Disassembly is not covered by the operator's...

2024 will not start after long ride then parked for 1 hr - Anyone else? What fix?

Yeah. They call it the Bleed Valve. It’s that solenoid valve between the charcoal canister and engine. It’s been called the Purge Valve in the US vocabulary, regarding the Evaporative Emission Control System, as long as I can remember. Because, that’s what it does - uses engine vacuum to suck...

2024 will not start after long ride then parked for 1 hr - Anyone else? What fix?

Well, I didn't interpret this as a fail to crank issue, I interpreted this as a "cranks fine but fails to start and run" issue. So, for the OP, maybe you can clarify this. But, as long as I'm here, if we re-define this, to not just as a hot start problem, but as a HEAT SOAK starting problem...

Spyder Not Starting, but starter works when terminals jumped - Where do I go from here?

If you have pressed the Mode Button in order to get past the Safety Card Screen to the Main Screen, and you have your foot firmly on the brake, you also need the Kill Switch in Run for it to crank. Kill Switch not in Run prevents cranking. PS. And if a SM5, pull in clutch and shift to Neutral.

Any ideas where to look for whatever this is with my 2016 RT's Power steering???

If you’re concerned about the DPS coming and going, and affecting your steering, then pull that fuse. The DPS motor can’t get power then, and you’ll be strictly manual. Any twitchiness after that is just you, or some other issue having nothing to do with DPS after all. Try it just around the...

Any ideas where to look for whatever this is with my 2016 RT's Power steering???

Without BUDS, there's not a whole lot that you can do at home to find and correct the root cause, but there are some things you can check that will give you an idea of which way this is going to go. For example, if you have a typical, finished concrete garage floor, go out to the bike, get on...

I have a dead 2023 RT, no electrics except lights - any thoughts?

See pic. Do your headlights work - Low and Hi Beams? It might be because you had done some relay swapping and what-not. Try to put everything back the way it was, make sure all relays and fuses are seated, and make sure all the fuses are OK again. Tidy up inside both of those fuse boxes.

2021 RT Limited - is this the latest Head Unit Firmware?

No, you don't have a Bluetooth problem, and in this case, BRP is correct. It's a common misconception so don't feel bad. In a nutshell: BRP CONNECT is the name given to the networking technology that they use to “connect” the phone to the bike. Hence the name. BRP GO is the name of the App...

2021 RT Limited - is this the latest Head Unit Firmware?

I asked AI, and it said that 50.21 was the latest for the cluster. Because you have that already, I think that it’s safe to think, that at some point in its past, your bike was at a dealer and received all the latest updates, and that there is no reason to question the rest, as that would have...

Exclamation Mark and Fault Code P210A on a 2023 S2S - Any ideas?

Not trying to be a wise guy or anything, but the code for Suspension Fault is C210A. Just a coincidence? Maybe look at the code again. It is triggered by the suspension taking too long to reach the correct height. Excellent explanation by Sage. Here's a photo of the part that he was talking...

Exclamation Mark and Fault Code P210A on a 2023 S2S - Any ideas?

Well, I fired up BUDS2 and opened a 2023 file, and searched the Fault Code database. I found no listing for a P210R. There is a section of P210's that relate to your Throttle Body, but none ending in "R". So, would you please double check that code again. Merry Christmas.

Can anyone tell me how to remove the front seat and disconnect the seat heat? How can I get to that seat heat plug?

Mine was like that when I went to swap seats. It took about 5 minutes, but I was finally able to wrangle the connector back up out of that opening. It had to be manipulated into the right position and angle. Kicked my butt for awhile. See what you can do. Keep at it. Good luck.
