• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yes it’s the age old tire question… What's currently the best replacement?

I agree with Ron here, Vredestiens are quality tires, and best wishes to your son.

How did I mess this up?!!! Removed the frunk to do some work, ran the Spyder with it off, & now have all sorts of warnings & Limp Home Mode!! Help?!

Well, at least you're halfway done; you don't have to limp home. As mentioned above, put'er back together, fire her up, ride her around, and "IF" everything goes back to normal, don't do that again. Wishing you good luck.

Any takers to Car wash your Spyder?

Go for it and let us know how it comes out. He**, maybe you're on to something here that no one's had the courage to try. LOL

Sliding off floor lift (GAH!) - What do you do to keep your Spyder from sliding off the jack?

Well, I did, and the lead mechanic left the dealership and started his own business. Many others and I followed him. That was less than a year ago, and already he's a week or two behind doing customers' work. If you ride on and off road, the guys you ride with will know who does good work.

Towing - To cover, or not to cover?

Careful Peter, you're starting to think and sound like me. LOL

Sliding off floor lift (GAH!) - What do you do to keep your Spyder from sliding off the jack?

If you can afford a Spyder, you certainly can afford a stealer (dealer) to work on it for you. Ambulance trips and hospital stays are just too damn expensive these days.

Any takers to Car wash your Spyder?

Wear a seatbelt and goggles and you should be just fine.

Towing - To cover, or not to cover?

I own more trailers than a sane person would have. JMHO based on my experiences. Short hauls, open trailer. Long hauls, enclosed trailers. Each one has its benefits and shortcomings depending on how you use it.

Any feedback on this Inexpensive Bluetooth Intercomm for all helmets?

Been with Sena since 2014 and still running great. With all the crapola I have running on it, I'm amazed it works at all. Intercom, radio, phone, FOBOs (including trailer), and a camera. Learning the 7-step startup sequence is like following a check off list for a jet! Because I'm just short of...

Anyone have experience with the 2020+ Bumper/skid plate??? Your thoughts?

There are many "no no's" one has to learn when riding 2 or 3 wheels. Years of experience will undoubtedly teach you all of them. The first good scrape on your Spyder should be your last one. Two scrapes in say 10 years? Well, that's not too bad, you're still good. We'll blame it on your old...

OEM Tire showing cupping - is this something that goes with the brand?

Welcome back. Gaining back 15 years is a God send, but be mindful that our bodies have changed in many ways. We don't have those quick reaction times anymore, and we break much more easily than we used to. So give yourself that little extra distance and don't let your mind wander, if you know...

How Many Ride an RT Limited After The 5 years Of BRP Warranty Has Expired?

Yep, me too. It's not the age of the bike, it's the age of the rider, and whichever wears out first. The body, the mind, or the machine. I live out West, and if they find me riding somewhere in the Middle East and I don't know where I'm at, maybe it's time to hang it up.

Is anyone out there Ryding with a Pacemaker?

I should probably get one after some of the close calls I've had.

Pre 2020 RT owners - can you stand up while riding?

Wise choice Sagebrush. The custom seat makers in my neck of the woods all build their seats with a bigger radius that provides a larger supporting surface, as you mentioned. Why the original manufacturers don't do that is beyond me. Maybe it's because buyers don't give it much thought. They're...

What has been your experience with Tire Plug Kits?

I pull trailers a lot, and most of my experiences have been using the rope type. Mushroom types were, for me, more difficult to get a good seal. If you have to use a plug kit on a vehicle, as soon as you can, get into a tire shop and have it repaired properly. Good luck.

Pre 2020 RT owners - can you stand up while riding?

Absolutely, however, experiencing a high speed wobble will quite likely end your desire to stand up on the pegs again. Shaking the kinks out of your butt on a long trip is best done by pulling over and walking around a bit. I don't recall ever hearing about a high speed wobble on a 3 wheeler...

Pre 2020 RT owners - can you stand up while riding?

Yes, I have, for many years and numerous races. Trials and enduros often require standing on the pegs, but at low speeds to safely negotiate difficult terrain. But not on a street machine at highway speeds. When you stand up on the pegs, you significantly change your center of gravity in a way...

Pre 2020 RT owners - can you stand up while riding?

Standing up on 3 wheels or 2 wheels is not a safe thing to do. Not unless, of course, you're a stunt rider, and in that case, do whatever you want. Good luck.

    Just Joined the Family

If this is your first ride, find an experienced companion who can clue you into what to watch out for, stay safe out there, and don't get run over by some cage driver not watching what they're doing. Good luck.

2012 RT front speakers bad, need replacement - anyone know the right size, shape, ohm ratings, suppliers, & how to do this?

Ditch the speakers and go with an intercom. Much better sound, and you aren't disturbing (or offending) others with your music.
