• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rat Rods, Restored Classics, Hot Rods, Gassers all rumbling past the camera during the Beatersville Cruise in Louisville, Kentucky. Each one is unique, each one is individual, each one has more style than 40 acres of brand new cookie cutter factory cars.

I've gone from ATGATT to H (just Helmet).

It is not about a Spyder being just as dangerous as a two wheel motorcycle or as a high speed jet ski. What it is about is the fact that you are riding wide open and exposed completely to anything that might hit you or that you might hit before coming to a complete stop. You are not surrounded...

Sliding off floor lift (GAH!) - What do you do to keep your Spyder from sliding off the jack?

If I trusted them I might let them work on my Spyder. I worked in Machine Shops and chemical plant shops for decades. There is a safe way to do anything you need to do to a Spyder. I have my own shop and the tools I need to do the work without getting hurt. I work on everything from farm...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Rolling Hotel rooms on wheels are not for me, but that is a really fine list of stop off points. Been to most of those places, not during big rallies or events, which I like to avoid if possible. That is a great list of places to visit when the traffic and facilities are not so crowded and life...

Nguyễn Văn Thiệu was president of South Vietnam during the time I was there in the early 1970s. Traditionally the Chinese, Vietnamese, and some others put the surname first without any commas when writing or speaking the name.

That is most unusual. I lived in Vietnam for several years and I always thought all the ethnic Vietnamese were named Nguyễn. I never asked about it, I just thought it was probably the equivilent of "Smith" in Vietnamese.

Towing - To cover, or not to cover?

Cover only with heavy coat of wax not rubbed out. Any protective cover like a tarp or canvas can flap and the straps are going to loosen from wind and cause flapping that will damage a lot more paint than if it is towed uncovered. Put some large, wide fender flaps behind the rear truck tires if...

Just had to share - Here's a Protective Bubble for your Spyder!

The problem will be when you remove them from the protective bubbles, the Spyders will need dozens of vaccinations because they will not have been able to develop any immunity to new or mutated diseases or viruses while kept isolated inside the bubbles. 🤣

    See you next year!

All you need to know to understand why the calendar in current use is screwed up, is that it originated in 1582, introduced by Pope Gregory XIII as a reform of the Julian calendar to better align with the solar year and fix the timing of Easter. It has not been updated since. If that is not...

Any ideas where to look for whatever this is with my 2016 RT's Power steering???

First place to look would be in the shop manual. Look there to find out which fuses to check first. Also check the wiring going into the fuse box and to the power steering booster motor, or whatever the manual calls it. Might be on a relay. You need to look in the shop manual and look at the...

    See you next year!

That is correct. If the re-alignment of the calendar which is in use by a large portion of the planet's population does not occur every 4 years, then in only about 600 years time, the people of the Northern Hemisphere would be celebrating Christmas in mid-summer, with weather close to what it...

Reminder - record your End-of-Year milage for comparison/averages/new goals! And Happy New Year!

All that information is recorded and updated every time any maintenance is done. The notebook with the records stays in the tank bag. It will get updated in the notebook next time maintenance is due, according to total miles on the odometer, or wear making replacement necessary.

    See you next year!

Based on the Sidereal Year which is the actual number of days it takes the Earth to orbit the Sun, and the fact it has been 2 years since the last correction, it will not be a New Year until around Noon of 1 Jan, 2026. The Calendar Year is just a figment of your imagination, since there is...
