• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How can you open the Ryker's frunk if your battery is dead?

I don't know, but will check if I can find the plug, you might be right because I don't think it was any easier to open when the trike turned on. Keith

How can you open the Ryker's frunk if your battery is dead?

I opened mine by giving it a good push down. I had the battery off at the time, I find it will open every time with a solid push down, in fact, I'm thinking of putting a lock on it, if I can find one to do it. It's too easy to open, mine is the Sport with the electric lock.

Deer collision - safer on a Spyder? Thoughts? Or first-hand accounts?

I'm glad we don't get so many Deer hits in England. There are some deer herds around the Nottingham area, which is about 16 miles from where I live. More Deer up in the North of UK in Scotland.

Disability Plates - Texas only allows 1 plate per Operator! Is the Law the same in your State? What's Your Opinion?

Here in the UK, we don't get plates that show disability for parking, they just show year and place of first reg. We get a plastic type folder with your photo in it, which can be used on any vehicle you are in or on.

Disability Plates - Texas only allows 1 plate per Operator! Is the Law the same in your State? What's Your Opinion?

Here in the UK, we get a Blue Badge. Yes, that's what its called. It covers any vehicle the disabled person is in. You just have to take it with you and place it in the windscreen. I have one, but I don't know how to use it on my Ryker because it would get nicked!

Does anybody use a GPS Tracking device for monitoring their Spyder's location?

The DSS Key will stop the bike from starting, if it's not around. But in my case, the DSS key for my Ryker sport was not programmed, so the Ryker could be started with a Magnet!

Buying a new helmet - who replaces them every 5 years per manufacturers spec??

$1000 AUS is around £486 in the UK, so that would be considered a medium price helmet. I paid £699 for my Shoei X Pro, but I did buy while I was riding my Triumph RS, which was a fast bike. I think that would be about $1500 AUS

Will the Ryker drive train clunk reduce after break-in is complete?

You can't really blip the throttle because it's always in gear, but I find that if I start up, wait till the choke goes in, and then just ease away on the throttle, I get no clunks.

What are your thoughts on any potential reliability/issues of this 16 year old Spyder?

I DON'T have a Spyder, I have a Ryker Sport. I've had bikes from when I was 16 and legally allowed to ride here in the UK. I bought my Ryker at the age of 82. I have no problems driving it, apart from my first day on the road when I went looking for a front brake. A lot people say they don't...

Is there a paper Ryker Shop manual?

You are right on the headlights. They point to the left on British bikes, and to the right on French roads. I suppose it depends on which side of the road you drive on. Here in the UK, we drive on the left.

Will the Ryker drive train clunk reduce after break-in is complete?

I've been looking at this clunk when loading the bike to move, and I find if I open the throttle gently, then I get no clunks, but if I open up hard, I get the clunk.

How can I tell the year of my Ryker?

Hi Gwolf, my reg number is 74 which denotes a 2025, registered ON 1 January My new car will be on a 75 plate. Here in UK we have two reg numbers each year. Mine was first registered in JAN 25 as 74; the September registered cars or bikes are on a 25 plate.

How can I tell the year of my Ryker?

Hi Gwolf Yes. its registered as a 25 on a 74 plate, one thing I have noticed, it did not have the small fuel funnel in right hand cover. On asking dealer, he said they don't put them in anymore, is that right?

How can I tell the year of my Ryker?

I've found the VIN Plate on my bike says date 02/23 - seems I've bought a '23 made bike at '24 prices and first reg as a '25, which is very annoying, but I don't think I can do anything about it.
