• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2024 RT L back at the dealer for the 9th time in 3 months!! How long until you give up?

Graderman: I just rang off with BRP in Canada and the gent I spoke with told me you should TELL the dealership to contact BRP and OPEN A CASE to resolve your problems.

What do you think is the Best Full Cover For Travel? How big is the storage pouch?

Spent some of the tougher times in my life carrying my house on my back; I know what I don't need. Touring on my Spyder I see no need for a full cover and use a Nelson Rigg half cover. It's light, well made and durable. Its stuff sack is 12"X 10"X4" and it sits atop my Hopnel frunk bag that...

    A relaxing Sunday ride.

I went for a similar ride yesterday and only the first 20 or so minutes, 8:40 a.m. EDT, were pleasant while I was getting the annual safety inspection. When I returned to La Casa I was soaking wet, as if I'd been in a sauna for three hours. It was still a good ride.

Broken Antenna on 2014 RTL - what size socket will take off without removing tupperware?

On my Spyder it's actually a 7mm. I just verified it with an open ended wrench although if I were removing a broken antenna I would use a deep 7.

Deer collision - safer on a Spyder? Thoughts? Or first-hand accounts?

Many years ago, early 1980s, my son and I were on a group bicycle ride from Alexandria to Mason Neck, VA. The ride leader, a very experienced rider, was leading with two other guys stoking for him on a triple bike. We were on a narrow country road several riders behind the leader when at least...

Deer collision - safer on a Spyder? Thoughts? Or first-hand accounts?

I recall quite vividly the incident blacklightning related as the husband vendor was a member of the brotherhood of arms. The most tragic part of the episode was the deceased rider was not wearing a helmet. ATGATT! Where I live deer encounters are a matter of routine when riding in the NC...

    Byrdstown, TN

If one wants to enlarge one's carbon footprint, two lane country roads are the only way to go. I enjoy too riding through areas where farmers, the world's biggest gamblers, are rotating their crops. It's primarily winter wheat, corn, soybeans, and cotton where I live.

Any feedback or Comments on the complexity of the RTL?

I purchased an extended warranty for my Spyder about a year and a half after taking possession. I did so because the roadster is a rolling computer and Murphy was an optimist. The extended warranty expired unused as the only failure I've experienced is a parking brake motor failure that was...

Clock Setting screen no longer works, any help appreciated!?

I was somewhat amazed to find years ago that the clock on my Spyder was the first battery operated clock that I ever had which gained time. I don't wear a watch and rely on my GPS for time.

Anyone know where I can get a Blank (Non Transponder Key) for a Base Can-Am Canyon?

Unlike the Ilco X270, with which I am quite familiar, the JMA ZA-9.P1 Plastic Top Key Blank appears to create a new slight of hand. It will fatten your wallet without adding any cash. In my last association with the IlcoX270, that is frequently reported by average resellers like Ace Hardware...

Anyone have ceramic brake pads? Any experience with Traild ceramic pads?

As Ron may have mentioned to you, beveling the leading edge and slotting the pads is optional. I considered that if he said they were optional steps, then he has much more experience than I, so I did them. Starting with a new hacksaw blade makes it fast work, and the beveling was a breeze with a...

Anyone tried Washing/Cleaning the Pads from inside a helmet?

Vito, there are at least two of us who know how to save time and energy. Semper Fi!

Anyone have ceramic brake pads? Any experience with Traild ceramic pads?

Did you purchase your brake pads from Bajaron? If you did, did you read the instructions that should have come with the pads? Did you purchase EBC rotors with the pads, or are you reusing the OEM rotors? If you purchased the brake pads from Ron and did not receive three pages of instructions...

Is BRP the only place to buy Tri-axis handlebars? And advice &/or installation tips welcome!

Not designed? Says who? If you go out tomorrow and play 72 holes of golf and the following day you feel like crap, are you going to blame the clubs, or the course? A Spyder can handle any road or roads a rider can take them on. Just ask the BRP test riders.

Why does the BRP Oil Change Kit have 5.5 quarts of oil?

If one removes the crankcase plug, the left one requiring a T45 Torx bit; and the clutch cover, aka transmission plug, the right one requiring a 6mm Allen or hex bit, not a socket; and then lets all the oil drain into waste pan(s); reinstalls both plugs; pours five (5) quarts into the engine...

Sliding off floor lift (GAH!) - What do you do to keep your Spyder from sliding off the jack?

What kind of jack did you use to lift your Spyder? I use one quite similar to the one at the link, and the "slick" underside of the roadster is not an issue. I place my jack stands that have heavy duty plastic protectors under the A-arms as Gwolf does as far outboard under the A-arms as possible...

About to pull the trigger on a 2023 or 2025 Spyder RT Dark - what am I really paying for? Any other major considerations on differences?

I’m probably showing my advanced age and my innate frugality (bride calls me world class cheap), and I would go for the 2023. Safecracker’s comment about the Zumo XT is excellent, IMO, as the Spyder is wired for a separate GPS as I understand. His second, very good comment is regarding the BEST...

Is there a 'Full Tank' Triangle? If so, where? '22 RT

In most all gas pumps I've used since purchasing my Spyder the velocity of fuel coming out of the nozzle and the degree of control one has over the flow into the tank is miserable. I also find it very difficult to get the tank as full as jzeiler's pic shows.
