• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I use the Can-Am half cover. Stuff sack is built in and I can install or remove very quickly. Has been on/off 100's of times over the years and it's still holding up well. The only parts covered are what I would be worried about.

    If you disconnect either the positive OR the negative (earth) lead of the battery it will cause absolutely no harm. Either one breaks the circuit and as far as the battery is concerned it is hooked to nothing.

    Yes it is lubed in engine oil. Oil choice could make a difference.

    If you are using windows and a mouse with a scroll wheel you may have pressed the control button when you rotated the wheel, changing the font size.

    Someone mentioned wrapping the bell end with strips of aluminum foil in multiple layers to stop this type leak. Not sure if it works or not but it might be worth a try. Not sure how long it would last.

    I should have put trickle charger instead of tender. So many use tender and trickle charger as the same thing. Battery Tender is one of the best out there at maintaining.

    It could be the torque shaft that drives the alternator. It is designed to slip under a heavy sudden load and will sometimes chirp/squeal when you accelerate.

    If you twist the grip to full throttle before cranking it shuts off the ignition and you can crank as needed without it starting. The main reason for this is to clear a flooded engine.
