• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Front Sprocket Repair available? Not the 'Interim Fix'!

I got my 2019 Spyder RT Ltd back last week. Supposedly with the final warranty repair sprocket. https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?148595-Red-Dust-of-Death-Recall-Front-Sprocket-Recall-FINALLY&p=1652315&viewfull=1#post1652315

How to reduce the loud knock when you put it in first gear?

You know, I asked about the clunk 2 years ago when I bought the bike. "It's no big deal" everyone said. Then my drive sprocket stripped out and left me in the middle of a major highway leaving me with no drive power. And here you are asking "What about the big clunk"? "It's no big deal"...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

First ride since getting my Spyder back from warranty repair. Last week the avg temperature was in the 70s. This week is in the 40s, but I've been without the bike for 3 months and just can't wait for warmer weather.

Anyone purchased a Stinger spyder trailer? After buying info...

I bought a Stinger from a friend. I have no idea where he bought it. I got the impression he had to go get it. I've used it about 4 times now. Easy to load and unload the bike. Great to store all folded up against the back wall of the garage. Not great for folding and unfolding. I can...

Have BRP's Supply and Inventory problems been resolved?

No "maybe" about it. The next sprocket that came in did go to me, was installed, and I'm back to riding. https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?148595-Red-Dust-of-Death-Recall-Front-Sprocket-Recall-FINALLY&p=1652315&viewfull=1#post1652315

Red Dust of Death Recall???? Front Sprocket Recall - FINALLY....

That's the whole problem with mechanics. You have to trust that what they are telling you is the truth because "Insurance won't allow customers into the shop to see for themselves". But in this case, I don't think they have any incentive to lie about it. If the shaft was damaged, they said it...

Have BRP's Supply and Inventory problems been resolved?

Last week my mechanic received the shipment for my warranty recall repair. But when they opened the box, it contained a water pump instead of the sprocket. The box had labels with the sprocket part number and the invoice was for the sprocket. So I'd say - no.

Red Dust of Death Recall???? Front Sprocket Recall - FINALLY....

Anybody found a cure to Bluetooth locking up? 2018+ Spyders

I never found a way to recover the bluetooth once it locked up. I pulled to the side of the road several times and tried for 30+ minutes. I would eventually have to turn the bike off and on to recover. It really sucks when you're in a group ride - "Hey can everyone pull over while I reset my...

Out on a ride and lost power between engine and the belt

Does this video match the 2015 to 2019 sprocket recall? I was pulling onto the highway when the spider lost power and made an ugly sound. I makes noise every time I tried to throttle up in gear. There was just a tiny bit of drive power if I throttled up very slowly, but then it would start...

Out on a ride and lost power between engine and the belt

We're riding through Ouray Colorado when the spider suddenly lost drive power and started making a rapid thumping noise. We got it trailored back to our hotel. Mechanic thinks it could be the recall. https://youtu.be/hMD8BS6gORM

Here's how to Release a jammed rear trunk latch!

This thread came in very handy. I had a broken trunk repaired a few weeks ago, just before a long ride. Of course, the trunk quit working in the middle of the ride, and I wound up stuffing all my clothes into a trash bag tied to the back seat for the ride home. I was just about ready to waste...

Southern Utah in early November - any feedback on weather for riding?

As others have said, the Rockies can have some nasty weather any time in the fall. But MOST of the time, Southern Utah in October/November is 50s and 60s for highs. October and November is my favorite time to go to Moab. Even September can be darn hot in Southern Utah.

Setting up my new Sena 50S headsets

I wanted to give the bike audio system a fair try, but I have wound up using option #1. Very disappointed in BRP connect.

Setting up my new Sena 50S headsets

5 month update. I have finally given up on using the Can-Am BRP audio system entirely. There were just too many problems (I'll details those later). Fixing audio problems requires the following steps: 1. Stop the bike 2. Turn off the bike 3. Wait 30 seconds for the bike to REALLY turn off 4...

    Hydration on long rides

I purchased a 64 oz hydration bag with an insulated pouch. I use a bungee to strap the whole setup to my backrest with the drinking hose coming out the top and hanging down the right side. I start the day by packing the bag full of ice and water. When I'm thirsty I hit the cruise control and...
