• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Key for the F3

Hi is the key design for the F3 the same as other models? I am just concerned that over time the condom like holder that you push the key into will eventually wear out and result in a lost key... If this is the same a past years, is this an issue? mark

    Noisy

Hi all being new to the Spyder, specifically the F3, I have noticed how noisy the 1330 motor is, especially at idle. The demo was noisy, and my S model black and chrome is noisy. Has there ever been an explanation as to the reason? is this just a rotax thing? Mark

    Fox Rear Shock

Had the Elka mounted its reserve like that I would have gone with the stage 4. They designed a crappy looking mount that attaches under the passanger grab handles and attach with what looks like big hose clamps Can't wait I shed the factory shock... According to fox the Stock and their shock...

    Fox Rear Shock

I almost went with the fox upgrade but I called them and they told me it came with the same weight spring as the OEM Sachs... I no experience with Elka but I ended up buying the stage two from them... just curious, on the Fox, there does the resevour mount? I wanted that option from Elka but...

    Trailer for transporting F3S

The build quality on the Aluma trailers is top notch! They pull great and the finest thing is their weight. I think my TK1 only weighs 530lbs so you aren't adding a ton of weight on your tow vehicle. Mark

some complains.. or better say comments

you are correct that the trim piece rattling around is a joke on a 22k lmachine..... The indicator lights on the dash are useless unless you are riding at night. My goldwing had the same issue.... These companies cheap out on little things like this and it really makes them look bad. mark

    Trailer for transporting F3S

I have the tk1 and I think the cost was about 2500it is about 4 in wider than the F3 but since there are no side rails, there are no issues about scratching while loading or unloading. it comes with a removable wheel stop for a MC and a nice storage area up front and the nose is enclosed to...

    Trailer for transporting F3S

I bought an Aluma trailer. They are made in the Midwest and I have not found a better constructed one. They make many models, I bought their trike version for my previous ride but the F3 will fit as well..... I think the trailer weight is only about 500 lbs and they have great suspension...

Got my ride and have a question....

I bought the the aluminum one and it is plugged in place, just sloppy. I pulled it out and I wrapped the tabs with some electrical tape and it fits fine. Just shouldn't have to do that's on a 400.00 accessory IMHO mark

Got my ride and have a question....

I got my black and chrome S model today!!! I had bought the passenger seat replacement storage box and installed it. It seems that it fits VERY loose in the front mounting areas. So loose you can hear it rattle now there only looks like one way to install it so is this's normal? mark

    Rear preload

My dealer told me that it was adjustable and the fact that in 35 years or riding I have never seen a non adjustable shock...... the 1k fox upgrade has the same spring rate as the stock sachs shock so spending that 1 k would have done very little for me mark

I hope Elka has a quicker turn around than they quoted... Told me originally 3 weeks mark

    Rear preload

Well that's about the most ignorant thing I have ever heard of....... The rear spring is under strength for an average guy as it has a sprung weight of 360 odd lbs. Add the weight of the unit to the weight of an average guy and gear and you are maxed out all ready. Now let's say you add a...

Took her for a ride yesterday

Well I went to the dealer yesterday to sign the adoption papers for my F3s and to ride her around the block. She looked great and I must say the black and chrome is the way to go. Initially I wanted the white but I just couldn't get past the orangish red frame and the only option without it...
