• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Corbin: $2000 for defected saddlebags- Not Fair treatment

Steady on - try California. From a snippet gleaned from another post I think the problem is a simple one of misalignment. It would seem that the left side hinge needs a spacer under it - someone said it sits too close to the case bottom at the front - so that the rest of the lid sits on...

    Rear shock PSI ?

The manual will probably have limits, but when setting preload or ride height or static sag (all much the same thing but measured in different places) the easiest way is to measure the height of the rear tail section above the ground. With the wheel fully extended (as when jacked up just...

F3 owners unite! BRP needs to get their act together.

No, not at all. Some of us just get on with life and look at things that really matter. After all, if you can pay $20,000 for a toy and have to shell out $220 for a shock to stop it bottoming two-up that is hardly a serious issue. It's not a manufacturing defect...any more than the fact that...

F3 owners unite! BRP needs to get their act together.

I think you are wildly over-reacting. The F3 isn't riddled with problems. I know the sense of disappointment and abandonment you feel when you have an intermittent problem, but hey, it might never occur again. Go well. :-)

    F3T Seat Comfort

Their existing dual seat should fit. The pillion part is raised about 2" higher than the oem seat and has thicker padding. I found it extremely comfortable, where I can only sit on the standard seats (as rider or passenger) for about 30 minutes. The rider's seat is set 3" further back and...

    Shad luggage for the F3

I understand and appreciate your spirit of generosity but I could not do that to a friend - once we are finished with them they will go straight to the crusher.

    Shad luggage for the F3

Thanks for the pics. I can't understand why they stick so far out and are up so high. They look to be even more extreme than the Givi setup for the RS models. However, we might have to install a pair while we wait for Corbins!

    Passenger switch

and if you look carefully the pillion seat sits up a little at the back - try pressing down on it with your hand and you will see. It appears that this movement is what activates the switch. It does not take a lot of pressure to do that. I recently carried a lot of weight, maybe 40 lbs, on...

    F3 Oil Change?

Just place the dipstick on a piece of paper towel - the oil will wick onto the towel and so you can see more easily just where it is on the dip stick. If you like I will produce a kit of paper towel pieces to place against the dip stick. ;-) Even a flat dipstick can be hard to read with fresh oil

    F3 Oil Change?

There is a large plastic tube with a screw-on cover sticking up at an angle on the right side if the engine. You need a36mm spanner/wrench to undo it, the same size as the axle adjusting device. More importantly you need a T45 torx driver for the engine drain plug -I chose one with a 3/8...

    Starting RPM

Yep, factory says it's fine at 2psi. It actually idles at 5psi and cruises at 40psi.

    F3S Stalling in third gear

That's definitely a malfunction because even if you run out of fuel it still disconnects the drive via the clutch so that you can roll. In fact, as long as the key is on you can (we can) always roll an F3 auto. Might not be worth worrying about unless it happens again.

    Starting RPM

They probably rev it to build up oil pressure immediately - it's a function of engine speed. According to someone who installed an oil pressure gauge idle OP is 2psi, while 3-4,000 rpm yields about 60.

    Lamonster / Corbin

I know how you feel, but a seat is not a case (or saddlebag, if you prefer that). Our recently ordered seat - it was the standard Corbin issue - has been sent back because it was cut too far back and "dished" too much compared to the standard seat. The standard Corbin is cut three inches...

Any chance of a pic or two of them fitted, especially the view from behind, and even from above? Thanks :-)
