• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    F3 belt alignment

The important thing is that it does not migrate (move from side to side) when the direction of rotation changes. Roll it forward 2 or three vehicle lengths while watching the belt. Then roll it back 2 or 3 lengths - the belt should stay in the same place. That is how you check and adjust the...

Road Test 14-RT sway bar on my F3

Either you are trying to be funny or your gauge is seriously off. Even 20psi cold will cause the front end to understeer sooner if you push it hard. 25 is just ridiculous and will cause the centre of the tyre to wear out quickly if it's a standard issue tyre.

    2015 F3S MPG

Why fifth? It will easily pull sixth gear and use even less fuel

    2015 F3S MPG

You missed an important aspect - fuel consumption depends mostly on the speed traveled at, which has rarely been given. The second factor is load - carrying a passenger will see more fuel used than riding solo. Running against the wind will cause higher fuel consumption. Traveling on the...

    RTS Swaybar on F3S

The oem 2016 "two up" shock is not a real solution since it only has one, single rate spring - it is simply not practically possible to get plush, non-bottoming rear suspension for two people using a 2 3/4" shaft travel shock. The Elka rear shock comes standard with 2 springs - a short 800lb/in...

    RTS Swaybar on F3S

I haven't done it to our F3 but I think I know the answer. I don't think it will do anything materially worthwhile... Our 2009 RS is tricked out with all sorts of performance options including sway bar and Elka front shocks. I can easily lift the inside front wheel around 15 to 30mph corners...

Just ordered Elka stage 2 rear shock

Stage 5 is overkill for most Stage 5 is overkill for 95% of people, since it only gives the rider extra levels of damping adjustability which most will not understand or appreciate in use. Stage 2 is fine for any weight, since it is the spring which is changed, not the damping controls, for...

    Air ride suspension on F3?

Interesting. It's hard to imagine that 2" of air suspension would be enough when the oem shock, and aftermarket units like Elka, use a 3" shaft-travel shock, less the bump stop, to get 5.2" at the rear wheel. The air shock will only yield 4" of wheel travel.

Just ordered Elka stage 2 rear shock

You would have bottomed out - if you check before you do the install you will see that when you are both onboard that the shock is already riding on the bump stop on the shaft. Check also how much sag you have when you are both on board with the new shock; you will probably need to add preload...

    Swaybar

The F3 is so much better than our RS, even with two different heavier swaybars installed (but not at the same time, of course!) I can push our F3 with the standard swaybar to the limits of stability control at any time - what I can't do, though, is lift an inside front wheel on aggressive...

    F3 two up shock

True, and we are modifying ours anyway as we go along, so that is performs like it should. The original shock is not all that bad, it's main problem is that the spring does not have enough pre-load. Now that we have a spare original shock I'll get a pre-load spacer made and see what happens...

Bad Surging On Freeway A Medium And Faster Speeds

Yes, but it doesn't make any difference, I checked. We'll get buffeting at 65mph+ on the freeways here because of the traffic density, but this was not that.

Bad Surging On Freeway A Medium And Faster Speeds

My wife uses the 2015 F3-S most of the time and she said she hadn't noticed anything before. Today I found after 15 minutes of riding that it would start to surge badly at 75mph and when we (traffic) slowed to 55mph it was still there. After a 20 minute break it was OK again for 10 minutes...

    F3T vs RT Limited - 2-up riding

Backrest and Seat Absolutely true. I regularly and readily ride behind my wife on our F3 and the backrest does a great job on acceleration, especially. Patti insists on having it on the very rare occasions she lets me steer. ;-) We have a Corbin dual seat and the pillion section is very...

    F3 Vibration

Our 2015 S has 4,000 miles now and a recent Elka shock. Because the shock rides higher (or the bike does) the vibration is less noticeable now, because it is related to belt tension. The higher the bike rides the less tension is on the belt. For T and Limited riders I would think that...

    F3 and Knees

We fitted Rivco floor boards for our RS and that made a lot of difference, but you still cannot move your feet far enough forward. They end up 2" lower and maybe 6" further forward. I don't know how you can ride with the original pegs! We fitted floor boards to our F3 to help with foot...

    Helmet Buffeting

Been there, done that - it did not work well. The one they sent for the Blue Ridge is not at all appropriate. It does not match the curvature of the BR screen - it was designed for the factory screen for the RS. At least I got my money back (less shipping).

    F3 Vibration

Ours was noticeable at first, especially two up, but as the miles have increased it has become less noticeable. What's more, fitting an Elka shock reduced the effect because the back sits up higher, which puts less tension on the belt. I wouldn't be surprised if it keeps on reducing in...

Corbin: $2000 for defected saddlebags- Not Fair treatment

Because they pay money. However it really does not look like the bags issue is as bad as people are saying. I'm prepared to refund an unhappy customer who has a set to match a white 2015 F3 with orange frame. Corbin should not send them out like that but there is no real consumer protection...

    Rear shock PSI ?

You are right - most people won't want to do that because it sounds too hard, but that is the correct way to do it and it only takes a couple of minutes.
