• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Bungee Connection Points for Touring

We have several items we have to haul that won't fit into the cargo areas of the RT. I've been making straps with 2" loops at the end out of nylon webbing (flat or rolled) to wrap around the RT's handgrips for the bungee to hook into. The straps are long enough to allow clearance for the...

    Corbin rocks!

:agree: Great choice!:congrats: One drawback to the Corbin seat that we've noticed, we don't have to stop all the time to stretch & rest our backsides . . . so we're not getting many pictures. :roflblack: :roflblack: Cat & Vaughn :yes:

    Questions for all

welcome We wear full face helmets and only 1 will fit in the front trunk (frunk) . . . so we had to buy a second Spyder.... So far as risers, we put the KewlMetal risers on the RS because they are SOOOOO adjustable for a shorty like me as well as my tall hubby. Corbin seat, yes, an...

    I was thinking....

You're right. . .. but all of the things I love about our Spyders hinges on one thing. . . and that is STABILITY. :2thumbs: I've been off 2 wheels for 30 years, but the stability of the Spyder (in addition to the rest of the bag of chips) is the one thing that made it possible. There...

    Kewlmetal risers

Yes, thanks for posting the pics. Funny thing, after looking at KM's installation pics, we noticed the clamps had been installed upside down :yikes: (but KM says is okay), but Vaughn decided to take them off and see if he could relieve some of the tension on the cables.... and wow! he did...

    Kewlmetal risers

Very interesting.... we were told by our dealer that we couldn't do the BRP riser AND the KM risers....... Wonder if that's what made the difference with your mirrors, cos we still needed the mirror extensions . . . Hope you can post some pics. Cat

    Ran outta gas today

We filled up the RT & the RS at the same time and took off..... At 158.5 miles and 9/10ths of a mile from the station, the RS ran dry. :gaah: We dumped a 5 gallon gas can into it and rode it on to the station. It would only take another .762 gallon making the fill up from bone dry less than 6...

    Our first ever Spyder sighting

Just had my first Spyder sighting EVER . . . We live in Grants Pass, Oregon, about 1/2 mile from Interstate 5 and have NEVER seen another Spyder on the road . . . until today. When I got off the freeway, I spotted that beautiful red fender of another red RS waiting to turn left at the...

    Kewlmetal risers

Good choice!!!! :firstplace: We have them on the RS and because they are fully adjustable, it's made ALL the difference in our riding comfort.

Lost antenna . . . is it necessary to replace?

Yesterday we noticed that somewhere along the way, the antenna on the RT disappeared :yikes: Since we never listen to the radio, we're wondering if it is necessary to replace it? If it is not, we'll need to find a plug for the hole where it used to be . . . . If it is necessary, we'll...

    Recurring handling problem with Spyder

Yes, it was a joke :joke:. . . . a pitiful attempt at humor on Friday! In reality, we're so thankful to have had no problems to speak of with either of our Spyders. And we've got a great dealer who answers all our questions. Cat

    Recurring handling problem with Spyder

Here's an email I received this morning from Vaughn when he first arrived at work. Just wondering if anyone else is having this same problem: well I made it here . . . . the spyder was handling really weird on the way to work . . . . . I couldn't hardly get it to turn into the driveway at...

    Backorder

Wow, that really sucks! Not all dealers are created equal. :gaah: Our dealer DID offer to take parts from a new one on the showroom floor. Always been willing to go the second and third mile with his customer. Guess that's why his dealership is :firstplace:
