• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What Tire pressures should I be using?

I just checked my front tire pressure: Left - 18.5, Right - 20. So there is 1.5 psi difference, yet the RT seems to be handling just fine. Is it really important to keep them within .5 psi of each other?

    Some excellent ideas. Thank you!

A few things about my new Spyder I wonder about.......

I had an awful time with my new RT at first - just awful. I was sure I had made a very expensive mistake. But I kept riding - one or two short rides every day. Each ride seemed a little better, then around 600-700 miles, I finally realized that it was me that had been causing the...

    Sena 20S

Thank you. I tried a Scala a few years ago and never got it to work right - not sure if that was my fault or Scala's, but it made me a little reluctant to spend money for another system. I've been hearing good things about Sena. Your endorsement seals the deal. I'll order the Sena.

    Sena 20S

I just found the Sena SMH10D-10 on Amazon for $265. My dealer has it for $379. I'd like to do business locally, but if I get it from Amazon, that's $114 more for me to spend at Spyderfest!! The SMH10D-10 is a two-pack for rider and passenger. Is that a good unit? Any problems installing it...

    Bike Week Demo Rides

You are welcome. When I read your post, I thought, "I know exactly how he feels". :yikes: I wonder if those group demo rides scare a lot of people away from Spyders. But now, I'm having so much fun. My wife and I will be riding about 400 miles to Springfield, MO next month for Spyderfest...

    Bike Week Demo Rides

I know how you feel. I didn't ride during the official F3 demo rides and I'm so glad I didn't. I went to the dealer a couple of days later and rode on my own and was all over the place - over-controlling like crazy. I never got above about 35 mph and would have been terrified to take it on...

    Bike Week Demo Rides

Test ride an RT. My wife and I (70 and 66) just got a 2014 RT Limited. She says it is more comfortable than the BMW GTL and the BMW LT that we previously owned. She LOVES it - and I LOVE it. We will be heading to Springfield for Spyderfest with absolutely no worries about comfort. The...

Anyone use a Waterproof half cover

I have the BRP travel cover. It works great and is quick and easy to put on and take off. It cost more that the after-market covers, but I needed it immediately and the dealer had it in stock. In any case, I'm pleased with it. It fits perfectly.

    Cal-Sci Windshield - Good Results

I put a Cal-Sci on one of my BMWs and loved it - quieter, smoother and absolutely no visual distortion. I will be putting one on my Spyder in the near future.

    Spyderfest 2015 Registration Details

Thanks OJ. That will be most helpful. I was concerned about the physical challenge of all the events and almost decided not to go, but then figured that my wife and I will enjoy the trip and I'll participate to whatever extent I can, so we registered a few days ago. If I can minimize some of...

    Spyderfest 2015 Registration Details

I have a couple of Spyderfest questions: How far away do you have to park from the vendor area, etc.? I have M.S. and can walk OK with a cane, but not very far before the muscles become exhausted. Will there be a parking area for those of us with challenges? Also, somewhere I saw a more...

    Questions for Lidlox users

My HUGE apology!!! I have no idea why I said red. I absolutely meant BLUE. I edited my post to say Blue Loctite. Thanks for catching this.

    Questions for Lidlox users

The video instructions say to put some Blue Loctite on the main bolt that screws into the grip. If you don't put the Loctite on the bolt, it will be very easy to remove and re-install. If you do use a drop of the Blue Loctite, it should still be reasonably easy to remove, it will just take a...

    Questions for Lidlox users

I keep the extenders in the glove box and my wife and I each keep a key on our keychains. The Spyder key doesn't have a hole in it, but the key holder (or protector or keeper or whatever you call it) does have a hole, so I keep both the Spyder key and the Lidlox key on my keyring. I'm very...

    Show us your calling card

Hey Cavman, I noticed Front Sight on your card. My wife and I both greatly enjoy our trips to Front Sight. We would probably be going again in April, but will by using my vacation time this year to go to Spyderfest instead. If you are going, we might meet up and have some interesting...

    New 2014 RT Limited

My 2014 RT Ltd. came with a very nice suitcase that fits perfectly in the frunk. It was my understanding that it was part of the Limited package. You might check on that. Maybe the salesman wanted the suitcase and gave you the battery tender instead. ;)
