• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thanks for posting, Carol. We would have wondered what happened with the gap in regular postings.

What are the Zumo XT's capabilities?

Off the top - can ride with it in the rain, can play music from Iphone or SD card, can download aerial view of locations onto SD card, can alert to low fuel, indications like elevation, trip time and distance, the list goes on. I bought mine a few months ago and I have a base F3, so minimal...

    Testing testing - Tackform mount

I have an Iphone 12, plus the Tackform. I was aware of Apple’s comments on vibration, but have not experienced any issues with my phone’s camera. I recently bought a Garmin Zumo XT, which will interface with my Iphone and my comms. I went for a ride last week with phone in my jacket pocket...

TricLed Sequential LED Turn Signals & Running Lights - Anyone else having issues??

I got a set this winter and yet to install. It may be a challenge to replace a strip, going by the installation procedure? Friends of mine commented on the fragile the gauge wire.

Which one of these RT's to choose?? Choice now made - Deal Done!

Stephanie - Option A is a demo, with I think had an in-service date of July 2021, so factory warranty should expire about July 2023. You should be able to buy an extended warranty, if you desire, before the expiry of the initial warranty. Rick

Problem with key seat release not working, any ideas?

I had my passenger seat off on Friday to wire my Shad sadddlebag lights. I had a challenger getting the seat off. It appeared that the key lock would not turn far enough to disengage the seat release. I remove the rubber plug when the cowl was off and could see the seat leash, but unsure if...

Where can I get Switched Power for Frunk LED Strip on '20 F3-T?

I recently installed LaMonster's light strip on my 2019 F3 base model. I remove the frunk liner, found the accessory power supply and connected to that. It was pretty much identical to LaMonster's video.

    Recommend/suggest Bluetooth for single rider?

I recently purchased the new Sena Spider RT1. It has some of the features of the 50 series, including great speakers. I use it for music and interfacing with my gps, but has mesh, so would work with other riders who have the Sena mesh system.

    Spyder group riding etiquette

We did a one day group ride this past weekend. All were Spyders (12 of them). We travelled in single file, about 2 seconds apart minimum. Front, centre and rear riders had comms. If we had to stop at a traffic light, we would bunch up, taking one entire lane to enable the entire group to get...

Is there an accessible Hot power supply on '21 RT?

I installed an accessory plug on my F3 to keep my phone charged. It was a slow charge, so I bought a higher charge rate charger that plugs into my accessory plug and now no issues. I have an Iphone 12. Rick

Riding into Canada - Any advice re ferries, border, travelling?

As a Vancouver Island resident, I agree that coming from the US, it is better to take the Port Angeles, WA to Victoria, BC ferry. The Anacortes, WA to Sidney, BC Washington State Ferry is not running again this year. A bunch of us from the Island are heading to the NW Spyder event in Oregon in...

I have kept track of my fuel consumption, and have averaged 47 imperial miles per gallon. I have 4,500 miles on my F3. No trailer and no passenger.

    Front Sprocket Failure

Took my F3 to the dealer today, due to the squeal/whine about 2,300 rpm. I asked them to replace the sprocket with the new white one, plus a new bolt. I was prepared to pay for it, but dealer got it done under warranty. The squeal/whine is no longer. If only I can deal with the exhaust drone...

What aftermarket bags work best on an F3?

This is my Shad bags on my 2019 F3. I often travel with the right one off, so to get the Spyder closer to the garage wall, which makes getting on and off the bike easier. With both bags on, I usually put my left foot on the left footpeg, but not ideal due to the forward location of the peg. I...
