• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thinking on getting Corbin seat - your opinion? Lead times?

Always been a Corbin fan. Yes they do stay stiff, but then, it's the soft seats that will be more of a PITA on the long haul. Pretty much bulletproof as well - this one had over 100k miles on it when the pic was taken.

    Tilting Ryker????

Counter steering only gets involved when you lift the inside wheel on a trike - Then you do a quick mental review of how a two wheeler works, and hopefully pass the test ...

    Tilting Ryker????

I'd wonder about tire wear. The Ryker rubber is designed to stay flat on the road, and you're putting a lot more stress on the sidewalls. I know the tires on my Ural are NOT recommended for use on anything other than a sidecar rig ...

Tilting Trikes body kit for Ryker

Mine was a basket case when I got it, but made a nice winter project. The bad rep is more of a hangover from when the Soviet Union went away - they've slowly improved over time. Mine's been mechanically bulletproof so far - just routine maintenance. That said, I just use it for bopping around...

Tilting Trikes body kit for Ryker

    You like tilting, get one of these ... Flying the car on a Ural will certainly put color in your cheeks ... and your shorts the first few times ... ;-}

Tilting Trikes body kit for Ryker

Got some nice lines to it. That said, you can get a LOT of saddlebags for three grand ... * Checked out their website, and they're currently in pre-order. Body kit is due out mid May? PS - their tilting suspension looks ... intriguing. Still in prototype, but I imagine that will end up a bit...

comfort seat v new solo comfort seat

I'm solo and no long trips requiring luggage, and I really like the looks of the solo comfort seat. Wondering if the pan's strong enough to attach a universal type backrest - or dare I say it, a DIY rack to hang a stash bag or floppy saddlebags? I'm assUming it's plenty strong considering it's...

Anyone Install Ryker Super Loud 131 DB air horn?

Big fan of the Stebel compact horns. This dual tone does 139db and comes complete with nuclear warning stickers. If one of those don't blast you out of your boots, good guess is a bad ground or weak connection. Yes, you can trigger the horn with the stock switch, but a relay wired directly...

HowTo: Build your own Ryker Reverse Shifter

Already ordered the parts. Right around $75, not including the shift ball. Looks to be a limited supply available on Amazon, so yall might have to find other sources. No worries here - I got mine! AAHAHHHHHHAAHHAHAAAAA !! PS - pretty sure I got one of these stashed in the junk drawers ...

    murdered out.

The black ones ARE faster, right? <G> Was thinking of doing some with gravel guard paint like they use on lower car panels. Gives you a naugahyde like finish with three or four light coats (with some practice), somewhere between semi-gloss and satin if you leave it raw. And of course you can...

    Broken hood retainer clip

Another option - Glue the pieces together with PlastiFix, then wrap with a bit of glass tape and another layer of Plastifix. Usually ends up stronger than stock. Anybody tried a plastic welder for that sort of thing? I've got an inexpensive heating iron that can work wonders, and there's...

    Battery removal unnecessarily difficult

I'll see your Ryker ... and raise you one Ural ... ;-} Those gawdsawful straps are kinda traditional for me - the Yamaha XS650s came with those and I used the same trick to get at the hooks. Easy once you learn the secret.

    Ryker oil filter location?

Probably not the kind you're looking for ... pop the hood and look below the coolant recovery tank and you'll see the cover.

Will rider backrest help with pain between shoulder blades?

Possible simple fix - adjust your grip position? Old school trick is to close your eyes and reach out while standing still. Your brain knows where your hands WANT to be for max comfort. Adjust the bars and seat as needed, repeat as necessary.

New to my Spyder & it wobbles down the road! Ideas?

One advantage to running a sidecar rig. You can adjust the alignment to compensate for whatever the average crown is for your area. Still haven't gotten "comfortable" on my Ural, and I figure that's a good thing. It works in strange and mysterious ways. <G>

New to my Spyder & it wobbles down the road! Ideas?

You've obviously never used Metzeler ... <G> I'll qualify that. They had some serious quality issues when they moved production to Argentina. Not sure if things have improved ... I haven't run them since these cracked all to hell with a thousand miles on them ...

    Vibration in front end

Possible free fix? I'm told a lot of it can be bearing down too hard on the handlebars. These things like a light touch. If you're just coming off a two wheeler, you may have a tendency to counter steer, which can cause the same problem.

New 2020 Spyder looks like it was left in the rain. I guess I'm a sucker

My thoughts exactly. Lot of stuff like that showed up after Katrina and various other weather events, making me wonder if it didn't spend some time under salt water. Maybe CanAm can trace it to an original dealer down south who quite literally went under. And ya ... I suppose it's excusable as...
