• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    How to tow a Ryker?

Maybe locate (or convert) a motorcycle tow hitch? There's heavy duty models available, and towing a Ryker with the back wheel hitched should (?) work as we're not talking a whole lotta weight? Not sure if you'd need to strap the bars or not - one way to find out? You'll notice a lot of...

HowTo: Loosen and tighten your nuts ( Ryker wheel nut socket )

That's kinda why an impact drill is handy. I used to jump up and down on a three foot breaker bar and keep my fingers crossed nothing snapped - either on a bike or on me, eh. Get a good one though - they're not all created equal. I went with a Porter Cable that was on sale. Good investment! PS...

24 month servicing for a 2020 Ryker Rally

Depends on how much you trust the factory to get every last bit of contamination prior to assembly. A little bit can cause a lot of damage and wear. Engine oil is the biggie - DO make sure the oil and filter were changed in the initial service.

Who has or has not had problems with their Ryker??

'21 900 Ace (new stock) picked up last fall. Currently with around 700 miles on it. (see my album in the sig) Opening the clam shell would be beyond my current capabilities due to around 1.5 million in repairs to me due to a ... you guessed it ... motorcycle accident. I died ... but I got...

    Ryker Spotter Thread

    Spotted one in Grand Rapids MI trailing a pack of young rebels on crotch rockets terrorizing a local festival, lit up like an LED christmas tree and doing a wheelie. And that's all I've got to say about that. ;-}

Got bored and went with the "angry bird" look ...

What Did You Do To Your RYKER Today?

Evarbody, DO heat the tabs when installing the seat. Makes them more flexible and reduces breakage. PS - seems to me somebody used heavy duty paper clips that still fit thru the mounting holes to squeeze the tabs - apparently they were able to remove the clips after installation .,,

Both Headlights are fogging up on the inside - any quick fixes??

Still running OEM headlights, untouched as far as I know. I'll pass on the word about the bulb boots and seals. Maybe even upgrade the lights long as they're in that far.. Stock lights are pretty pitiful IMHO, but last bike had a Truck Lite LED on it, so let' just say I'm spoiled. That thing...

Both Headlights are fogging up on the inside - any quick fixes??

I was afraid they were sealed units ... I put up the pic so you can see what I'm looking at here. it's the light gray band that runs down the middle of each lens towards the center of the bike. I've already scheduled the bike in for it's initial service/tune and warranty work, so I'll ask...

Both Headlights are fogging up on the inside - any quick fixes??

New (or at least first I've noticed): Both lens are fogging up on the inside. I noticed this shortly after parking the bike after a short ride. Wondering if there's a quick fix or if it's a shop/warranty job? The fog fades fairly quickly, but I can see it could be a problem over time.

Who has or has not had problems with their Ryker??

First real problem just reared it's oily head ... leaky valve cover gasket. Last couple short runs had smoke coming off the exhaust. Bike's due for it's initial tune and check, so I'm having it picked up Tuesday for some warranty time. Reads a quart low and don't want to chance driving it. PS...

    Need Battery Strap

CanAm parts department? A real deal at only $20 with a couple weeks waiting time ... ;-} It's a simple loop strap, so any bike using a similar sized battery and strap should work.

What are the specs for the 900 ACE? Is it the base for the turbo 900 on sleds?

Long as we're kinda sorta on the topic of snowmobile motors? The Ryker calls for 5-40 oil which may be fine in the winter wonderland but seems thin for a hot August afternoon on a highway cruise. Any experimentation with viscosity?

Anyone know How/where to buy extra OE style foot pegs?

Just checked the invoice and no individual pricing for the extra footpeg. Total accessories are a match for the items listed. Don't suppose they forgot to charge me for it? (I'll have to get right on that) ;-} PS - the stock pegs should mount on either rail - maybe check and see if swapping...

Anyone know How/where to buy extra OE style foot pegs?

Each foot peg can be ordered from a dealer as an assembly and basically just snaps into the slide rail. You've got markup for sure, but zero hassle. Most any fleabay special should be complete as well, and easy enough to compare to your stock peg. PS ... didja know you can install multiple pegs...

Northern riders, 1st ride each year - are rough roads usual?

Something to keep in mind all year long is road patches. The repair crews don't get too worked up about maintaining surface pitch, and a three wheeler is much more sensitive to that sort of thing. We've also got a lot of cedar swamp around here where the surface settles unevenly over time, and...

    2022 Ryker Hub Threading REVERSED

Got me wondering if the larger brakes will work on older models. Always thought the stock Ace brakes were weak. Plan is to try EBC Green pads this spring as those tend to have a lot better grip and reduced glazing.

What are the specs for the 900 ACE? Is it the base for the turbo 900 on sleds?

MANY changes made to beef up the standard drive train for turbo, and it'd end up costing major bucks to make it happen on a Ryker. PS - a lot of the changes aren't all that apparent. Lots of otherwise identical looking stock parts were beefed up or alloyed differently to handle the additional...
