• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spyder Accident

I think I can safely say that since I started last October 90% of the close calls have been from texting or cell phone using anyway divers and Ohio just made illegal and a primary offense for the under 21 crowd. And yes I do tense up a bit when someone is coming up behind me at a light. It can...

    Ryding after dark

I guess I was lucky with the dealer prep on the Bug as the light seem just about right as to aim. I do find that the fogs do help to light the close in road surface a bit better for pot hole etc avoidance. Ride safe,

Spyder Loader that's peaked my interest.....

Last summer while at a campground a motor home towing a pick up with a GW Trike in it pulled in next to us. Very similar mechanism but the trike was facing forward when loaded and it seemed to be mostly hydrolic. Ride safe,

    Fuel treatment

Using Startron I usually keep Stabil in the tank during the winter when I don't ride as much. Lately with filling up every other day I haven't both with either Stabile or the Startron. Gas isn't in there long enough to go south. Although with the high humidity we're experiencing I might just go...

    Gremlin Bells---not that I am superstitious.....but

Working so far Actually the Bug and I are on the second bell, both given to me by the wife. First one parted company with us on a very rough stretch of city pavement it was cable tied to the hitch and I suspect something (?) bit through the tie. The second one was on the hitch fastened to the...

Which Motor Oil Do You Use In Your Spyder?

BRP/Castrol Specs Dealer did my 600 and I did the 3000 before Rolling Thunder it was going to hit the mark between here and D C. Anyway I do find it somewhat bothersome that the BRP jugs don't show a rating for the oil, but the book as I recall (it's at home) does specify either semi or full...

Preaching the Spyder Gospel to Two Wheeled Sinners who want to believe!

Wife and I both ride on 3 She has a new 2013 Ural Tourist that I've been allowed to drive exactly twice since she got it in April. When we're out together we get a lot of questions about both machines, but I think lately she has been getting most of the attention. A lot of the 2 wheel drivers...

The Piggybacker is finally on the road

Finally figured out the wiring and got the trailer out for a test run today. Tag on the BRP cable said 2 of the wires were right flasher and left flasher (Canadian for not turn signal evidently). Once I remembered that brakes and turn signals occupy the same wires I have all the required lights...
