• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 RT - rear bearing out at 26.5K

Rear bearings Mine went out about 21000 miles. I did change the rear tire myself at about 19000 miles, so nobody to blame. Well, nobody else.... The bearings are cheap, so I now have another set on hand, just in case. We also ride two up quite a bit and pulled a trailer for a bunch of those...

    Air inlet removal

RED LIGHTS Well, here on the west coast, if you have red or blue lights facing forward, be sure to bring your tools along. If these... gentlemen... catch you, you'll get a ticket--- while they watch you take them out. Not turn them off, actually take them out. But you could do orange.

    @$$# rear suspension

AIR BAG Disconnecting the leveling valve won't help. When you add weight to the bike, the leveling valve sees that and kicks on the compressor. When you get off, the leveling valve sees that and tells another switch to dump air out. Of course, the leveling valve sees all sorts of weight...

    @$$# rear suspension

AIR BAG You definitely can not ride 2 up without air in the air bag. You can bypass the compressor if it is shot by adding air through the schrader valve, but you have to have air in the bag to ride and if that is where the leak is, you must fix that first.

Backrest My backrest has 3 screws to take out and then 2 screws on the top inside which have to be loosened. I don't have any pushpins......or maybe that's why I have leftover parts.....anyway, it takes a little effort and wiggling, but it comes off. But I do have an earlier model spyder....

    Rear wheel bearing

Rear Bearings I have 21000 miles on my 2013 RT Ltd and just had --had-- to replace the bearings. The outer one on the right was only half there. Had a hell of a time getting that one out, finally took the whole hub to a local machine shop. Ended up calling 3 different spyder dealerships...

    rear wheel bearings

Rear wheel bearings A day late and a dollar short, all my life. Coming home from a 200 mile ride earlier in the week, the rear felt as if it gave a kinda lurch sideways, the brakes applied for a heartbeat, and it felt like I had a flat on the rear. Made me nervous, but could not see any...

Compressor Well, the compressor died. And you know, the warranty expired about 3 months ago. I watched it being done on you tube a few times. So I ordered a Viair 098. Looking at the specs, it looked like a better fit than the 097. Anyway I took the bike all apart on Saturday and finished on...

The hip I had mine done about 3 years ago at age 65. Pretty much had the same questions, so I asked a friend who had his done.... how long ?? He told me 90 days. I thought, "well I'm a lot tougher than that" and I was right. Only took me 89 days. Oh yeah, I could do everything a lot...
