• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    When I turn the key on my spyder (not turning on the engine), my oil light and parking brake lights are on, but when I start the engine only my parking brake light stays on. Does that mean the oil light going on is irrelevant because it goes away when I start the engine?

    Does anyone have this windshield? http://store.spyder.brp.com/product/390203/219400077/_/Ultrasport_Windshield If so, are scratches less visible since it's a black windshield? I had to recently change out my windshield because of the scratches. Thanks!

    On cars people generally change their oil after 5,000 miles on new cars. How often should I change the oil on the spyder? I'm sure this question was asked before. Sorry for the newbie question.

    I bought an '08 used recently with only 3000 miles. From the beginning, my brakes have been squeaking. But after reading the threads on this forum, it seems normal for spyder ryders to have squeaking brakes.

    I also put my visor up sometimes or just a little bit when I know for sure I'm going to ride at slow speeds. I don't see anything wrong with doing that. Look at the HD riders, they wear helmets that don't have any visors at all. And they were sunglasses. Sometimes you just want some fresh air...
