• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Reliability on the 2016 Spyders

Will a 2014 do? I own a 2014 RT-S SE6, it's basically the same as a '16. Some '14's had the DESS issues, mine did as well. The module was replaced but occasionally get an orange screen. It's a problem I think BRP fixed in later year models. I had the drive belt replaced at 108,000 miles. A fuel...

    Corbin seat

Same with mine I paid $900 for a heated Corbin for my '14 RT-S. Took 6 weeks to get it, sent it right back, my privates were sitting on the glove box. It cost me $90 to ship it back. 7 weeks later I got it back, hated it ever since. It's not dished enough, I'm afraid I'll slide off the seat...

Own a 2012 RTL,new to the site and new to the bike!

Air bag I have to agree with Ann on this one. Earlier this summer on my '14 RT-S my compressor ran a lot. My back could feel all the bumps too. My air bag had a leak. It was fixed under my BEST warranty. I can't hear my compressor run at all now, but I know it's working.

    Spyder Lovers Chapter of OHIO

Buckeye Chuck It's great to hear from other Spyder ryders. I cover many miles and love it when I can meet up with other ryders. I met a new friend, Buckeye Bleau. He's the only other ryder I've ridden with, and that was only 12 miles. I live in Zanesville but it's not too far I can't meet some...

    )&*&%$$&^ Mirrors!!!!!

Bob's on top of it.. When I bought my Spyder in June '14 I didn't know how to work on the mirrors. I broke the top hanging plastic piece on both sides then wondered why I couldn't get the mirror to stay put. So I drilled holes and screwed the mirrors on. Yeah, yeah, I hear you laughing...

    2018 Models

A leaning Honda. Honda is working on a leaning three wheeled bike. It's called the Neowing. Not much is known about it but it uses a flat 4 cylinder engine, like the older Gold Wing. Knowing Honda it should work well. Piaggio makes a leaning production bike, two wheels in the front. I've seen...

How many of us are still riding two wheel motorcyles?

Knew it was you. I normally read the post before I see the poster name. But I knew it was my cousin in Texas. Who else would have such a collection? Hey Cuz, I hear there's still room in the garage for a......? Chuck

    fix a flat

Rubber cement My brother rode his BMW to Alaska last year and got a flat rear tire. No problem, he had a plug kit and compressor. But the rubber cement was hard, no good, stranded. I've had this happen to me before. I bought a big tube of the stuff at Wal-mart. Those tiny tubes you get in plug...

    Drive Belt Removal

I did too I too had a stone poke a hole in my belt at 16,000 miles. The stone was in the middle of the belt. If your hole was near the edge then, yes, replace it. My stock belt lasted over 108,000 miles. Chuck

    JUST READ THIS

I saw a.. The latest issue of Rider magazine had a 4 page story on the 10 year anniversary of the Spyder. This is nice but these major motorcycle magazines don't give us our due. Rider last ran a test on the RT back in, I think, 2011. That review was not very nice, citing the Spyders poor gas...

    Arachnid Tires

Sorry, round and black isn't good enough. It looks too much like a crapenda. Thanks, but no thanks, I'll stick with my General. Chuck

    Thank you!

I agree I've been riding motorcycles since I was 12. Loved all 24 bikes I've had. But my favorite is the one I ryde right now, a Pearl White 2014 RT-S (4036). I bought it new, I knew very little about it. Vinny the sales guy showed me all the basics, like why does it beep, beep when I turn the...

AN OPTIMAL ROUTE TO TAKE YOU TO ALL 47 NATIONAL PARKS

Sounds like... Sounds more like an Iron Butt challenge, those guys and girls too like to ride. Me too but I don't think I'll take this up. Chuck

Hit my first 1000 mile mark.

Me too I do that too on my '14 Rt-S. (4036) It started when I saw 22,222 on the odometer. Then 23,000, then 24,000, 25, 26. Now it's up to 132,000. My I-phone is littered with odometer pics. But somehow I missed 72,000. I think that happened last August when I rode 3,000 the second week. Chuck

    tires OH BOY

Kumho KHJ16 My original Kenda's lasted 23,000 miles, so I replaced them with another set on my '14 RT-S. That set lasted 7200. I ride a lot and I can't see replacing tires every 5 weeks. I bought a set of Kumho KH 16 in the 155-60-15 size. That set lasted 46,000 miles, they weren't down to the...

    Cannister-ectomy

My RT runs great, just as it should. After I ride a couple hours I'll stop it to take a short break, then the starting issues appear when I try to start again. If I remember to loosen the gas cap when I turn the key off then it will start right up. This RT has a lot of miles on it. I will try...

    Cannister-ectomy

A new cap Thanks Bleau. My dealer thought it was the gas cap and he gave me a new one. It didn't help. I thought of keeping the old one and drilling a small hole in it but that wouldn't solve anything, and Nanny may protest. Chuck
