• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    19 MPG ?!?

I actually tried this on my way up to atlanta yesterday. I didn't really notice any difference in the mpg no matter which octane I used. I averaged about 150 miles per tank no matter what.

    Steering almost got me killed!

Don't get me wrong... I luv my spyder, but what happened yesterday could have ended up really bad, not only for me but for the poor soul that I could have hit... not to mention my poor husband who would have watched it all. However, now that I have calmed down and put some thought into it I...

    Turning while stopped?

Be CAREFUL! I was almost killed today when my steering failed on the interstate in heavy traffic. I had the second update done Tuesday and also felt something was odd. always before I could turn the handlebars to lock them with the spyder running and it turned very easy like with power...

    Steering almost got me killed!

I took my spyder in for the second update and it seemed to run fine, like it use to before the first update. I was excited because we were to leave Saturday (today) to go to the mountains in Tennessee for vacation and were planning to ride the bikes. I made it as far as Atlanta Ga and then the...

About to order a Sypder. Final opinions please.

buy it... you won't regret it... People tend to exagerate the bad and not look at the good. I think people here would agree there has been more good than bad with the spyder. Sure we have had some hiccups and one or two lemons... but for the most part the spyder has been a blast and one of the...

    Another Call from Carlo

Called my dealer today, he pretty much said the same thing. I will call again tomorrow to see when the parts will be in and make an appointment to take spydie in for her checkup. Sure hope this does the trick. She ran so good before we "fixed" her. I see the update is on BRP's site too, says...

    Call from BRP...

I got a call today from BRP about the newest update coming to supposedly fix the last one :gaah:. The guy appologized for the problems I was encountering with my spyder and told me to check with my dealer in the next 3-4 days or so and there should be a "fix". He promised me that if we are...

    Garmin Spyder Dealer List DONE!

I loaded this onto my Garmin zumo 660 and it works great!! Thanks! I just hope the updates were made to the spyderlovers download file before I got it today LOL. I loaded it into the 660 the same way as you said for the 550 and it works great. Now if the FedEx man will just show up with my...

juice box is the culprit, according to BRP...

My spyder is completely stock except for some mods that in no way affect engine performance. I have stock filters, exhaust, etc. I do not have a JB installed as of yet. It ran perfect before the update and now I have the surges in 3rd, 4th, and 5th gears. It seems to level out and run smoother...

    Updated software download

had the recall update :dontknow:Had the recall update Saturday morning, rode about 150 miles afterward, noticed a big difference in the way the spyder ran. I had no problems with it before the update. Now I notice it surges and hesitates when running below 55 mph and smooths out somewhat at a...

Good idea to keep your mouth shut

OUCH! Had a bee get caught inside my shirt and was crawling around in there. Didn't sting me but believe me there was plenty of opportunity as I quickly stopped and did a strip tease on the side of the road. Good thing I had on an under shirt! Hubby was following and didn't know what to think...
