• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    General ryding question

Funny you say that. I told my husband at the PA rest stop, 100 miles from our start, that we need two of these! He's more interested in riding his cruiser anyway though. I'm curious as to what he will think after riding the Spyder though. Thanks to all of you for the advice!

    General ryding question

Here's the most ridiculous thing from today- We had to turn around on a side street after realizing a gas station was in the other direction. So I'm ready to back up, tried to do what I had remembered, and nothing. I couldn't get the Spyder into reverse. We were in the middle of the country so...

    General ryding question

I love the Spyder! - pot holes didn't matter -rough roads and bad pavement didn't matter -dead animal in the road wasn't an issue -sitting in traffic was great, no clutch or front brake to hold -hills were a non issue and we had some steep hills with stop signs at the top, stopping on a...

    General ryding question

You are 100% correct. 1) got gas, had three people come over, 20 minutes 2) got gas, had to explain again. 3) stopped at Chic fil a- people were surrounding it and taking pictures. I went outside and explained what it was. I told them they could put their little girl on it if they wanted and...

    General ryding question

We keep the bikes in PA and are there on the weekends. You are always welcome to ride with us or our group if you are ever in Lancaster! The only reason that the Spyder is on LI now is because we bought it locally. We do work in NY so we are local during the week.

    The Morning Thread

Good morning. I'm heading out on my first ride on the Spyder, NY to PA. Might as well make it 200 miles. It's supposed to be in the mid 60's.

    General ryding question

We are on Long Island, on the Nassau/Suffolk border, so as far as the route: Long Island Expressway to the Cross Island to the Cross Bronx (ack!) to George Washington Bridge to I80 to 278 to 78 to 222 to Lititz Wave if you see a blue RT Spyder.. Hmm...do we still wave to motorcycles on...

    General ryding question

We are going to leave after rush hour. I'll go reread that stickie thread again. Once we get to PA, I'll register the Spyder, take some pictures, and change my avatar :)

    General ryding question

I'm going to travel from NY to PA tomorrow on the Spyder we just bought, a distance of about 220(?!?) miles. This will be my longest trip to date and I typically avoid highways. Tomorrow will be mostly highways. My Spyder RT experience has been two demo rides on back roads, a few miles at a...

    Different way to haul Spyder

There's something similar listed on ebay that a man fabricated himself for his Spyder, if anyone needs something like this.

    The Morning Thread

Good morning! I'm on vacation this week and will be going momentarily to get temp tags at the NY DMV to ride our new Spyder back to PA. We work in NY and head to PA as much as possible. My husband is taking off tomorrow and is off Thursday and Friday. We will drive to PA tomorrow morning after...

    Motorcycle riding gator

She has it trained to keep it's snout closed?!? Really?!! It's an alligator, I don't care how tame it appears. Hopefully she won't get eaten like the people who play with bears because they "are so cuddly and cute and would never hurt them" until it does.

What other forums are you on (hobbies)?

Besides here and the Yamaha forum, I spend time on banjohangout since I play bluegrass banjo, mandolin, fiddle and guitar, but have the most fun with the banjo. Other than that, I'll go on bodybuilding.com once in a while. What are your hobbies/interests outside of Spyders?

    A Question...

Hey Steve, we're in Lititz, not too far! Your smiley guys are cute. Do you ride with the local Spyder people? We have been riding with the Lancaster motorcycle group for the past few years on two wheels and are hoping to join the Spyder riders on three wheels. Yeah, 23 posts over here. I'm...

Where do you store your Spyder?

Walter, what size storage space did you need?

Where do you store your Spyder?

There's a wall in the way. If I didn't have the wall, I could fit ten Spyder in the rest of the space, maybe more. I'm not sure if the wall is a load bearing wall. Also, the area in front of the garage is higher and then goes back to floor level, so figure there's a four feet by twenty something...

Where do you store your Spyder?

I should have thought about this a little more! We have a garage that has my prize possession 2500 mile Camaro inside it as well as a few motorcycles. I can fit two motorcycles on either side of the car. We have a parking space next to the garage. The garage is more of a barn in the back with...

What to look for when buying a used Spyder (2012)?

Thanks! I can't wait. I am in NY now and need to get temp tags to take it to PA, where our bikes are. In my garage now are three bikes and a Camaro, so there is no room for this thing. I'm going to have to get a storage unit or something. Can't put the Camaro outside :O) On Wednesday...

What to look for when buying a used Spyder (2012)?

Well, apparently it was not the one that I thought it was. I just bought a "2012 Can-Am Spyder RT-S SE5." When the nice gentleman was showing me how the controls worked, I was thinking, "wait, this shouldn't have fog lights or rear speakers or adjustable suspension...ummmm." I gave him...
