• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SAFE SPYDER!! Congratulations on not biting the bullet,:yikes: very glad to hear of your good fortune. :D There is a lot of plastic and steel up front to protect you and some fantastic safety features to keep you upright and on the straight and sometimes not so narrow path. The same event on a...

    Belt Stabilizer

Belt Stabilizers In a nut shell the BRP unit is made of plastic, only has a single bearing centered in the pulley. Meanwhile the unit by Doc and Baker are made of metal and have two bearings with a larger diameter pulley, much superior in construction to the BRP unit. A larger pulley has a...

    My brush with death.

Very Close Shave Wow! You are lucky in capitals. Javelinas are solid little critters, about like a 40-60 pound rock with legs.:yikes: The problem with wildlife and other things in the road is that they don't always go where you think they might:yikes:. Glad that you are safe and sound!!! :D

    Brake noise "growls" in reverse

Brake Springs As CAPTJAM mentioned when the pads wear down to the point that the spring is fully compressed, you won't have any brakes. So use fewer coils and spread the coils out so that the pads will have to really wear out. It doesn't take much spring pressure to retract the pads. I did this...

    Spyder on ramps

Ramps? I have a very steep driveway that flattens out just in front of my garage, so I use two large cement blocks spaced to match the front wheel spacing with 2"x10" planks 6' long placed from the slanted driveway over the blocks. Drive down the driveway onto the planks, set the parking brake...

    Escalation is Good!

Finally found my dream machine, a 2017 RTS in Champaigne Metallic! Started 6 years ago with a 2008 GS, great ride but the position killed my back, hands, and legs. So onward with a 2015 ST in Black Currant, better seating position for nearly 2 years of riding. Then SPYDER fever made me do it, I...

    Vibration in engine 2017 f3 se6

A WAG! This sounds like a restriction of the fuel flow, either from a "Venting" problem for the tank or an extremely weak fuel pump. Either could be causing a lean burn in the engine and roughness above idle. This should be evident to the Technician with BUDS. Needs to be fixed! Lean burn can...

    HOT ignition key

Hot?? Key!! Never have heard of anyone having this problem and it may well be a problem, I would go to your dealer and have it checked as it is not a normal event. Possible problem with the ignition switch itself or with the DESS unit, normally the DESS only activates the Key when it is first...

    electronic problems ?

Electronic problems! Sounds like you had an impact that knocked one or more connectors loose, I'd start with the connectors to the display, ECU, and particularly the battery ground connection to the frame, relays and fuses being seated in the connectors. The dealer tech should have done this...

    Dead Battery

Battery Woes Are you using a charger or a maintainer? With a "dead battery" the voltage is too low and most chargers won't try to charge a battery that is below 9 volts, and no maintainer that I know of will. I'd try jumping the battery for a few minutes, this should increase the battery...
