• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Here goes nothing....!

Yep. I got tired of looking at it in my garage! lol I just came to the conclusion that it really isn't what I REALLY want. I really desire a Spyder, and I am hell bent on getting one. Actually, the guy is coming over today to pick the MP3 500 up. So now I'll have more money to put in my SSA...

    Here goes nothing....!

Exactly. I mean, really... Are any of us desiring to break the sound barrier with the Spyder? I don't think so! 1,000 cc is plenty good enough for me, that's for sure. Especially considering that the largest thing I've ever driven is a 500cc scooter! lol

    Here goes nothing....!

Not now, anyway. But I'm working on it!

    Here goes nothing....!

But that's not what you said in your previous post. You said that I "shouldn't be owning it" if I can't pay cash. I guess you forgot to mention the "fiscally responsible" part! But, hey, I know what you mean. It's usually better to pay cash for anything you buy. That way nobody can come and...

    Here goes nothing....!

None of that excites me, to tell the truth. The RT, and actually the GS, has plenty enough power to keep me happy and riding for the rest of my life. Well, at least until they make a commercial Rocketbelt!

    Here goes nothing....!

Simply because I've learned the HARD WAY to get what you REALLY want IN THE FIRST PLACE, instead of "settling" for something lessor. I have $6K in my SSA now, and will just continue to put away for what I really want, until I have enough to pay for it. If I go ahead and get a USED GS, then I'll...

    Here goes nothing....!

They say that every time you try to get credit, it actually makes your credit score go down a notch, so I think I'll just pass on trying to get any financing for this thing. I can only take so much rejection, after all. First girls, now this! A guy can only take so much! lol I will be getting a...

    Here goes nothing....!

Just got the call... Looks like I'm making more contributions to my Spyder Savings Account. :cus:  :( Derwin :(

    Being Prepared

Hmm. When I went to Indiana on my bike a few months ago, I didn't have a cell phone or a credit card. :opps: And I sure didn't have anything else in the trunk!....Well, maybe a few bags of Frito Lays! lol Heck, when/if I ever get my Spyder, I'm going to have to come back here and make sure I...

    Here goes nothing....!

Well, I just called my local dealer in Wilmington and gave him all of my information. I told him I want to order a Spyder RT SE5 in Orbital Blue, and that I have $6,000 to give as a down payment on the bike. He told me he'll get back with me to see if the financing went through or not. If so...

Do all dogs go to heaven?

Where do "bad dogs" go? :D Sorry for your loss. I had a cat named Elvis that was incredibly special. He lived a long life and then passed away a couple years ago. It's incredible how animals can bring such joy and comfort into our lives. Derwin

    Drastic measures: Voluntary grounding?

Holy Crap! That's insane! What? Did they think you had contraband graphics in the envelope! :D

    Drastic measures: Voluntary grounding?

I didn't think of that, but this has happened to me several times. My small order wouldn't fill a container since it was a LTL order, and I would have to WAIT for other orders to fill the container before my products would be shipped. But this had nothing to do with customs. You think that...

    Drastic measures: Voluntary grounding?

What are we talking about here? What kind of time are they saying customs is holding up product for? Is it a couple days? A week? A month? If just a couple days, then it's completely understandable. If a couple weeks to a month, then it's not customs that is the hold up. Like you, I think it...

    Drastic measures: Voluntary grounding?

Not at all, my friend. I have been importing products from China for a decade now, and have never had things held up for extended periods of time. What HAS happened, though, is on occasion customs would "pick" the container that my products were in to INSPECT. As you may already know, customs...

    Drastic measures: Voluntary grounding?

I'm sorry, but I know for a fact that this is simply not true in regards to customs. I have been involved in importing things all the way from China, and the LONGEST my stuff has been held up in customs has been a day or two.... and that was ONLY when customs decided to pull my freight aside for...

    Spyder RS Seat/Steering Conversion

Very cool. Thank you! I guess that's what I'm going to have to do, then, if I get a used RS model. I have a call into the local dealer in Wilmington, Illinois to see if he can finance the RT for me. I told him I can put $6,000 Cash down on it, but I still don't think they'll approve...
