• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Apple Car Play download initially failed! NOW Finally available....

Hmm, that's a couple people with Cardo units with Bluetooth 5.x for whom ACP is fully working. My Sena SRL-Mesh is BT 5.0, but still not working for the phone and barely for Siri (her responses still sound like a slow talking robot). I was hoping that switching to the official Apple cable might...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

On Friday, picked up the bike from the dealer after the 9300 mile service and a new rear tire. They had a Kanine in stock so I just went with that. Surprised to find out that replacing a rear tire is a 3 hour job - at least that is what they charged me for the labor. Ouch.

What have you done for Heated Gear Wiring, inc Location - '20+ RT's?

I bought the 5' cable from Warm N Safe and added an extension so that it runs directly from the battery and pops up at the back of my seat. I'm not concerned about it being on only with the key turned on because there is nothing drawing power from it unless I'm riding and have my jacket plugged in.

Apple Car Play download initially failed! NOW Finally available....

Inconsistency seems to be the only constant for me so far. Leaving the phone plugged in. Plugging it in before starting the bike (which should be the same as leaving it plugged in). Plugging it in after starting and headset is paired. All of them have worked. All of them have failed. The one...

Review: The Can-Am Ryker... A Great Ride!

Not a Ryker owner, but I'll chime in here with some praise for the machine. I went for a Spyder RTL because it is better (IMO) for touring. But I want to say that I was very impressed with a member of the group I recently went to CO with who was on a Ryker. He never skipped a beat riding along...

New rider with GPS Mount, Seating, Lighting, & accessory questions?

I think this is the thread I had in mind with regards to the heated gear. https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?156671-Any-reason-not-to-Connect-heated-gear-to-acc-outlets-on-2022-F3 I haven't found a thread referencing using the 12v outlet for connecting a battery tender. And I...

Looking for a male connector to fit this? Need to charge GPS!

I can't help with your plug question, but I'm confused by your initial statement. If the GPS is properly connected to the battery, it will charge the GPS. If it isn't charging, or if in the first picture your GPS is running on its battery rather than the Spyder's battery, then I think something...

Anybody purchased Slingmods 5-piece RT Touring Bag bundle?

Yes, I purchased the bundle. Like others, I'm using the liners for the saddlebags and the small one in the bottom of the frunk. Won't be using the trunk bag since that is where I will be storing my helmet in one half and have a small bag to hold stuff in the other half. But if I wasn't using...

New rider with GPS Mount, Seating, Lighting, & accessory questions?

I have a Russell Day Long on my 2009 V-Strom and have long sung its praises. Total game changer for me on that bike. A bit over 9600 miles on my 2024 RTL and I'm amazingly happy with the stock seat. Just had to add a Harley Davidson Air Circulator pad for when it is hot. Very happy I don't have...

Does Installing 12V Cell Phone/GPS Docking Station with USB Ports need longer bolts?

I have the Docking Station which came with longer bolts as mentioned. Thought about adding a riser but like you have wondered about the bolts and whether I would have to find them on my own. Please let us know what you hear from Slingmods.

Bright Headlights Daytime Yes or No

Nope, high beams only when needed at night or when I flash them at someone to get their attention or to let a semi know it is ok to come into my lane. I keep them in reserve to use them when needed. Daytime high beams made some sense way back when motorcycles had a single incandescent...

Apple Car Play download initially failed! NOW Finally available....

I hadn't connected my phone to the Spyder or the Spyder to my helmet yet so I had to work through getting those connected. Spyder didn't want to connect to Sena with any other pairings present so I deleted them all and rebooted the Sena. When it came back up, it immediately went looking for a...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Figured out that an $8 Harbor Freight 12 inch Voyager tool bag is perfect for holding stuff in half of the trunk while still reserving room for my helmet. Stiff enough that it holds its shape. Easy to remove if I want to. https://www.harborfreight.com/12-in-tool-bag-with-21-pockets-61467.html

12 Volt Battery - System Overload message... Any ideas on how to fix/clear this?

Again, thank you for all the help to resolve my self inflicted issue. None of the dealers in town have the fuse. Closest one is allegedly in TX or GA. Ordered one from my dealer and they say backordered until late July. Did some research and decided to head to Autozone to get an alternate 80A...

12 Volt Battery - System Overload message... Any ideas on how to fix/clear this?

And here's the continuation. Dealer gave me a new PowerSonic AGM battery to replace the Haiju. Confirmed what I thought, that even 12.4 was not charging, just showing battery power. Suggested I check the connections on the big fuse that is just to the right of the battery (looking from the...

12 Volt Battery - System Overload message... Any ideas on how to fix/clear this?

The saga continues. I got several miles down the interstate and the bike died on me. I think the charger lied about being 100%. Called Roadside Assistance. Hauled me to the dealer. Installed the old Haijiu battery. Started fine. Codes, other than the U0155 cleared. Tech came out and checked and...

12 Volt Battery - System Overload message... Any ideas on how to fix/clear this?

Ran out and bought a Noco Genuis 5 charger so that: A. I didn't run into any possible problems from using my Battery Tender on a Lithium battery; and B. it would charge quickly. Which it did. I'm up to 100%. Bike is starting. No error messages on the main screen. Only the U0155 remains in...

12 Volt Battery - System Overload message... Any ideas on how to fix/clear this?

Just want to be sure everybody read BajaRon's comment. I know. It should be common sense. Don't try to think your way around it like I did. Yes, it is true the Noco comes charged. And yes, it did start my Spyder multiple times. But it doesn't have enough of a charge to make the Spyder happy...

12 Volt Battery - System Overload message... Any ideas on how to fix/clear this?

Yes, I did. Doing a test fit to figure out what spacers I needed, there was a momentary connection which caused the horn to honk alerting me that something was wrong.

12 Volt Battery - System Overload message... Any ideas on how to fix/clear this?

Appears I've just been stupid and thought a battery that starts a vehicle (as my new one did) would be enough and once I got on the road it would fully charge it. Apparently Spyders don't work that way since it won't let you go with a low charge in the first place. So now I'm already an hour...
