• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So you had a complete frame replacement? Interested because I am facing the same thing should I choose to salvage my bike.

I wish. My attorney is just getting started. Beyond that I don’t know if repair is possible or prudent.

Or replace the entire frame? So even a slight bend makes the bike unsafe?

I know Lamont from rallies back in the day. I think that is a good idea. Talking to the shop here apparently there are not a lot of high tech options for motorcycles and not any rebuild shops for Spyders. Their diagnosis is based on one thing and that is the visual bend in the frame. They did...

The shop won’t store for me anymore so it’s coming home tomorrow. I did ask how they ascertained the bent frame and they said they eyeballed it. Makes me wonder. Does anyone know a rebuilder who could truly judge and repair the bike if need be? The shop in Tulsa is losing their Can Am...

My concern is of course any hidden damage but really more the rebuild. The wiring harness. Electronics. I can imagine a lot of other issues that fortunately never happened with this bike. I read a lot stories about problems with limp mode and the electronics. The shop gives a 90 day warranty but...

It was a flatbed. The bike rolled up at ground level and lifted straight up to the level of the moving truck. A good plan if done originally.

Going in. They showed up the first day with no idea how to load it and this other fellow came back day two with this recipe for failure. We finally loaded it on his truck with the help of a wrecker who lifted it up to the level of his truck and it rolled right in. Too late for the bike.

Some of you have asked to see the bike on that fateful day. This is how the bike wound up when the ramp collapsed.

They have offered me about half what a new replacement bike would cost. My attorney is writing them a demand letter and we will go from there. I went to take all the good stuff left on my bike today. Sad. It looks so much sleeker and more modern than the new models. I am sure I will be happy...

Moved a BMW 1200 a number of years ago and they snapped a tail light. The mover rode and knew how to box and pack the bike but **** happens. No big deal. This was beyond inexcusable. The moving company won’t budge. I have the check. Uncashed. I hope to subrogate that amount under my actual...

You bring up a number of good points. This is way beyond my expertise. Your comment about a non Spyder mechanic confuses me a bit. Why would a non Spyder mechanic be of value? Currently it is at Tulsa Supersports and that is the only resource I know. It sounds like there are a number of...

    Sad day.

I got the settlement letter from the moving company today. Not enough to replace the bike. I talked to the service manager though and he claimed I could replace the frame for about $1600 plus labor which is about $4500. This is news to me. I was not aware a frame could be replaced. Can anyone...

My beautiful 2009 GS SE5 was dropped off the moving truck by Bekins. All I could see was a smashed tail light and some damage to the rear end but it landed on the hard edge of the truck right under the engine. They bent the frame and the bike is totaled. I have full replacement cost insurance...

2009 RS. Not ridden for year. Rode like new.

I had a bad car accident last year and haven’t taken my Spyder out in about 16 months. I have had it on a trickle charger and finally took it for service today. Figured fluids, plugs, etc. Like a 2 year service. The bike started right up. Rode perfectly to the shop. Gears smooth. No vibration...

    F3-S FARKLIZED

My only question is how did you expand the frunk? That is a mod I would definitely be interested in.
  19. Dochands

Considering F3. Long time no post or see.

I knew you would make some cool stuff. And I appeciate your comment about making you feel like a kid. My turbo did that for me on the GS but this seems like a wholly more integrated machine and not just a derivation of a snowmobile. lol Thanks.

Thanks. Yes they take Okies here but I never mention I lived in California. lol The weather turns again tomorrow. Had one of our nice days again. Hope to try it next week. And if I do go for one I will be creating the first frunk mod. Still hate the nose just not as much in person as I did in...
